Reality TV: Buzz Worthy - Here's What The Fans Are Saying
|
Reality TV fans always have something to say about their favorite shows. Here's a sampling of what we have received in the last couple of days.
To tell us what's on your mind fill out the form below.
Big Brother All Stars
I definitely think that Big Brother All Stars is an excellent idea! Just think of all the blown-up egos that will be there. They will all have the attitude of "I've done this before, and I'm going to do it a million times better this time. These people won't know what hit them." I'm sure that they have pre-conceived notions of who they want to align themselves with in advance too (not able to be done in the past). I am so excited for this Big Brother All Stars to start. I can hardly stay contained!

Big Brother All Stars
I'm dying with anticipation to see this start up again. As much as I hope I don't have to look at Muggie-Maggie again, I'd love to see how she reacts to Allison and Jason, etc. as opposed to the Sov6. However, I do not think that list was real. I thought BB6 was by far the most entertaining of the BB shows, the characters and the way the line was clearly drawn - unbelievable, obviously the way people reacted to Kaysar, James, Howie and Janelle was incredible. I'll be signing up for RealPass as soon as it's available and can still hear the burbling fish. I am addicted and I need HELP!
Redtootsiepop - Oregon
The Apprentice
I have always enjoyed the Apprentice, but the way the finale was handled may make this season my last. I really do not care what the audience thinks of the final two candidates. I do not care what the fired candidates think. I do not care what their moms think.
I do care about what George, Caroline, the Trump kids, and the event sponsors think. On every task, the event sponsor or the Trump rep will give a run down of how the task went - the good things they saw, the bad things they saw, exactly how much money was raised. Yet not only did they show just brief parts of the final events, there was no comment from the concert sponsor or the charity and only a brief comment from Lys. George and Caroline had little to say about the events. They told what the cars went for, but never said whether the silent auction raised any money. Even if it did not, is that not noteworthy? Trump spent more time talking about Tammy than he did about the final task. He barely talked to Lee and Sean about their events, how the events showed their strengths, and how they handled problems which arose.
It may be that the editors were trying to hide the fact that Sean was a slam dunk winner - but after devoting 15 weeks to watching his show, I think Trump owes it to the audience to explain his choice. This year's finale was little more than breaks between commercials.

Canadian Idol
After reading some of the Buzz Worthy comments about how the Canadian Idol judges were unprofessional and un-Canadian. I had to write my own comment. As a Canadian I was only disturbed that the tantrums were in front of contestants. To me that is unprofessional. But as for having to watch it, I felt it was refreshing. We Canadians are suppose to be the nice nation, but we are human too and we do express our emotions.
You have to understand these judges sit for hours listening to thousands of contestants. Most of which are horrible. I know my own nerves would be shot after awhile. Remember this is Reality TV. I for one will continue to watch the show. As for anyone else who has decided they will not watch because the Judges showed they are human, you may forget most people watch this show because of the talent. Remember too, you just expressed your own anger. Maybe that is un-Canadian as well.

Canadian Idol
The judges are just acting. It's not real. They are just trying to garner some attention to the show and trying to compete with Simon's rudeness on American Idol. The fact is that since Kalan Porter won Canadian Idol, the show has had difficulty living up to expectations because there hasn't been anybody nearly as good as Kalan and nobody with such a high likability factor. Kalan Porter is truly special. I'd love for him to be on the show again!
Sarah - Ontario
Canadian Idol
I actually hate this part of the show, it seems to be more about humiliation. I know from having friends audition for Canadian Idol that there are several pre-screening processes, if this is the case why are so many obviously bad singers put through? Well, it's just to humiliate them and that's suppose to be good TV. Well, it's not for me.
As for the judges...it was embarrassing to watch. Absolutely embarrassing. With American Idol I usually agree with what Simon has to say and he usually says it with some intelligence and wit. These judges were ridiculous, unprofessional, embarrassing and just idiotic.
I felt really sorry for the contestants. They actually think they are good and they deserve a professional atmosphere in which to compete. The judges need to step-up or they should be voted off.
Ann - Ontario
Last Comic Standing
The only person I didn't feel was deserving was April. I thought there were a number of comics that had a little more original material and look (i.e. Wild Willie). After reading C.C.'s write-up, I now know why she got the nod. Hopefully this won't go on episode after episode, as this is one Reality TV Show I thought would be hard to "fake" the talent. Either you're funny, or you're not.

So You Think You Can Dance
Awesome! I love this show. It's about time that they have a reality show that exhibits such a wonderful form of art. Dance is the message of the soul and heart. There is no other art form that compares to the expression that dance creates. I only wish that they would hold tryouts in Florida so that my daughter can try out along with her many talented dance friends.
Tammy - Florida
Canadian Idol
After watching the four adults fight like three year olds for the first ten minutes of Monday night's show I've had enough. Even the poor teenage contestants are stunned at the childishness of these louts. This is supposed to be an entertainment show, not Family Feud. What losers. And how un-Canadian can you get. I'm ashamed of you all, including the producers for allowing your paid people to get so out of hand. Grow up, for heaven's sake. This was sickening.
Mary - British Columbia
Canadian Idol
I think that the judges are too harsh. They took off some of the good singers and left some of the bad and I didnt like how they treated some of the contestants. They were very unprofesional and what they did was wrong. I'll be back next year.
Joel - Manitoba
So You Think You Can Dance
It is one thing to tell someone they are not good at dancing, it is another thing to get personal, tell them they look obsessed, tell them they probably took bets to get on tv, or just want to be on tv. So what? You do, everyone does. You should expound the fact that everyone has to be a pro dancer in order to participate. But making fun, laughing in people's faces for your ratings in order to compete with American Idol is incredible. I am so turned off by your incredible arrogance, actually seeing the obvious delight on your faces at the cruelty you have said to those who participate. I am sick of this show already. You make Simon on American Idol look kind compared to your antics!
Maryle - California
Big Brother All Stars
Big Brother is without a doubt my favorite reality show. No other show lets you get as involved as Big Brother. Big Brother recappers and recap readers pay no attention to the spin put on the contestants on the "tv version". We know exactly what is going on in the house and have often decried bad editing on the part of CBS, i.e., Snotbert, Maggie, etc. The interviewers keep them somewhat honest. They can show whatever they want but we have SEEN it. I love this show and can hardly wait for its premier. This year's BB Allstars should be a stroke of genius. Because CBS is only letting the public vote for half the contestents, they can selectively choose the other half to give us some fireworks. Please, don't let us down!
