Reality TV: Buzz Worthy - Here's What The Fans Are Saying
|
Reality TV fans always have something to say about their favorite shows. Here's a sampling of what we have received in the last couple of days.
To tell us what's on your mind fill out the form below.
Last Comic Standing
I was suprised that Doug Benson or Gerry Dee were not picked. It got me to thinking what were these people judged on? Were the viewers at home not privy to another performance or something? These two comics deliverd two of the funniest routines, especially Doug. I literally had to stop my DVR and replay his performance because I was laughing so hard. I have to wonder if they selected these people not just based on their stand-up but whether they needed this venue in order to take it to the next level as a comic. If thats the case, maybe I can understand their reasoning but if its not...huh?

Canadian Idol
I felt the judges were way out of line when they told Shane that he has to drop the "stuff" he puts on the end of the phrases. Then Sash sang and put the "stuff" on the end (I have it recorded so I was able to rewind and see her do it). They all jumped on the poor guy and Zach told Shane that if he tried any of that "stuff" in Toronto that they would send him home. If I were Shane I would have told them thanks but no thanks. I think he would have made a beautiful statement if he had walked at that moment. He would have stood up to those judges and supported all those artists who would like to stay true to their personal style. Shane has the capability of winning Canadian Idol. I felt that he was the most talented and an added bonus is that he has the looks as well. The most favorite thing I enjoyed about Shane was his generous spirit. He came across very respectful when he tried to please the judges who in my opinion did not know what they were talking about. Way to go Shane! You've got my vote.

Tuesday Night Book Club
Jenn is not a trophy wife, but a high priced hooker who seems to be used as bait by her wealthy husband to attract other married couples to wife swap. Jamie isn't conflicted, she's a slut. If she wants to keep screwing around, she should get out of her marriage. Where I'm from fidelity plays a big role in marriage...something these two don't have a clue about. Cris, the loyal wife is such an uptight codependent she's going to drive me to drinking, and I haven't had a drink in decades. God help her husband. He'll relapse just to escape her constant overbearing smothering. Kirin, the Dr's wife, what can I say? You just don't float his boat. Ever heard of, He's Just Not That Into You? Read it. And Lynn, the newly wed had the best line, "Cook your own dinner and buy your own toilet paper to wipe your ass with"!...she's my hero...Great Show! I won't miss an episode.
Marian - New Mexico
Big Brother All Stars
I hope Eric or Maggie come back, because I think it is evil of America to treat them as less than human. We all have feelings. I hope Kaysar doesn't come back, because he's an idiot who allowed scumbag James to get his way. Janelle is nothing more than a snotty and self absorbed bimbo Barbie who doesn't know how to treat people with class. I hope Jason, Marcellas, Amy or Danielle from Season 3 return because thar was the best season, and I hope Nakomis returns because she was robbed because Cowboy didn't have enough brains to trust and support her.
James - Ohio
Tuesday Night Book Club
Having watched the premiere episode, I'm not sure whether this is a genuine 'reality show' or scripted. The acting and setting seems like a Reality Show but the camera shots look more like a traditional show (such as, of course, 'Desperate Housewives'). Although it was certainly realistic in regards to the story line featuring the woman who married her high school sweetheart and now was feeling unhappy. Instead of trying to convince her to get marriage counseling (even just go alone, if her husband didn't want to go) the divorcee told her if she decided to leave her husband, then she would help her...And the single "wild" friend ("wild" being a relative term) takes her out the the bars so she can be preyed upon by single guys. And everyone wonders why the divorce rate is so high in North America.

Last Comic Standing
This show is obviously not based what is funny but what will make the show more interesting because of what will happen in the house. The winners should be picked by who was more funny than the others. The girl with the lisp is by far the funniest performer that there was on the show. After all isn’t the show called Last Comic Standing. Not Big Brother.I am truly dissapointed by the way the contestants were picked.

Big Brother All Stars
I can't wait for what could very well be the best Big Brother season ever! I'm hoping viewers will play a larger role in voting out houseguests. I think the HOH should nominate 2 people to be voted on, then the viewers vote to evict one of the two. To avoid groups of people having the opportunity to plan in advance who should be evicted, voting should be for just a couple of hours immediately following the nominations, similar to how they vote on American Idol. This would get more people actively involved in Big Brother and would also prevent the all-star houseguests, who may have already met and formed alliances, from having complete control over who is evicted.
Denise - Ohio
Big Brother All Stars
I think the All Star edition of Big Brother will be awesome. I know my favorite Survivor of all time was the All Star edition. It gives us viewers a chance to see our favorites get another chance and we know which players are the most fun to watch! I can't wait for Big Brother this year - and I hope we see radically new alliances. I hope Kaysar and Janelle make it and the evil doctor Will! I can't wait!
Angie - Ontario
Hell's Kitchen
This is the greatest show on TV. Gordon Ramsey is the supreme reality show bad guy. I love him. Makes Simon Cowell look like a pussycat.
Dana - Alberta
Hell's Kitchen
After getting the hang of the yelling, and witnessing a softer side of the show.... it is worth seeing season 2 simply because I now understand there is a reason for such madness.
Ann - Georgia
Canadian Idol
Well it looks like our Canadian judges have regrouped from last weeks tantrums and seen the idol light. Either they got a good scolding from mom & dad producer...or were thrilled at the singing talent they encountered on this last leg of the 'city to city' auditions. Nice to have you back where you belong guys.
Sharona - Quebec
So You Think You Can Dance
I have enjoyed the auditions so far but am sort of confused since I haven't seen these people enough to recognize them but that will change with next week's show. One thing that I think should be changed from last year is allowing contestants to do the same genres 2 weeks in a row. I know this was chosen by a slip of paper but the ones that drew the same genre they had the prior week should draw again. Some seemed to have an unfair advantage by the luck of the draw. I think each contestant should have to do a variety of routines and get their assignments each week from the judges.
Elle - Virginia
So You Think You Can Dance
I would like to see a show with non professional dancers with no ballet training because hip hop dancers are never going to win against years of training. I would like to see the street dancer with his or her natural talent get a break . There are a lot of talented dancers with no money for lessons because of social economics. People like to see the underdog win. There seems to be more of an opportunity in videos or musicals for this style of dance. Last years winner was a fabulous dancer but having trained in dance myself I could pretty well pick one of the last three remaining at the start of your season.
Yolanda - Illinois
Big Brother All Stars
Chicken George was one of the best big brother contestants to watch ever! He had a great sense of humor and was just a lot of fun. Please consider bringing him back instead of all these pretty boy wanna be models (except Roddy I would not mind looking at him again). I personally would like to see some nice people that are a little off rather then some mean people that are just out of there minds.
Lora - New York
Big Brother All Stars
Definitely Will and Nicole. Brittany was fine back then, but BB is way past that type of a player now. I can't even believe they used to sit around and cuddle like that, all of them, together! Please no Maggie! Kaysar was too disappointing. Josh was only drunk entertainment.
Margie - Wisconsin
Treasure Hunters
An Amazing Race rip-off? Who cares as long as it is entertaining and exciting. As a kid I always enjoyed playing this type of game and now as an adult, I get to watch it on TV.
Janet - New Jersey
Treasure Hunters
Yes...this is an Amazing Race ripoff...but its ok because its a better concept! AR took "clues" and "puzzles" out of the race and now just give directions. I am looking for AR on Steroids! Good luck to all the teams!
Aimee - Georgia
Big Brother All Stars
I definitely think that Big Brother All Stars is an excellent idea! Just think of all the blown-up egos that will be there. They will all have the attitude of "I've done this before, and I'm going to do it a million times better this time. These people won't know what hit them." I'm sure that they have pre-conceived notions of who they want to align themselves with in advance too (not able to be done in the past). I am so excited for this Big Brother All Stars to start. I can hardly stay contained!
Darlene - California
Big Brother All Stars
I'm dying with anticipation to see this start up again. As much as I hope I don't have to look at Muggie-Maggie again, I'd love to see how she reacts to Allison and Jason, etc. as opposed to the Sov6. However, I do not think that list was real. I thought BB6 was by far the most entertaining of the BB shows, the characters and the way the line was clearly drawn - unbelievable, obviously the way people reacted to Kaysar, James, Howie and Janelle was incredible. I'll be signing up for RealPass as soon as it's available and can still hear the burbling fish. I am addicted and I need HELP!
