Dare to Compare?
How do you really feel about this bunch of castaways? Are you ready to compare them to the ones that went before, or are they in a class all their own?
From here on in, I have a hunch that incredible things will occur that we never would have dreamed about. I'm just saying that to get your juices flowing.
Seriously though, Yaxhá was handed a double whammy when they had to vote out another member of their tribe and leave their camp behind without looking back. Jeff promised them that all of their rewards and belongings would be moved to the new camp. I hope that doesn't include those nasty howling monkeys.
I think it was a good thing to vote Amy out because she was a liability and I didn't care for her attitude.
On one hand, she was tough and courageous to push through the challenges with her wounded ankle, but on the other hand, I disliked what she said about hunting Gary down and "kicking his ass" if she found out he was a millionaire. So what if he is? He also happens to be one of the more decent, trustworthy individuals that actually possesses an entire brain.
I like Gary and he has a very good chance of making it to the end. He hasn't alienated anyone and plays the game as well as anyone in the past. He is down-to-earth and capable, athletic (of course!) and a hard worker.
My other favorite guy is Rafe. He has knowledge about surviving in remote locations without whining and complaining. He has a great sense of humor and he's a stand-up guy.
Another smart guy who is flying under the radar right now and I totally like, is Brandon the farmer from Kansas. This guy is articulate. Did everybody hear him last week? He either was bordering on brilliance, or the jungle heat gave him powers that he never possessed before. He is also fiercely loyal and trustworthy.
So far, Gary, Rafe and Brandon have proven that you can play this game with integrity. That doesn't mean that you can't make some surreptitious decisions on your own that will help you because that will begin to happen now that it's up to the individuals.
