There is a reason Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler have so much chemistry and so much passion on the ice. They've been having an affair since, at least, last October. They are reportedly still together and Lloyd left his eight months pregnant wife for his new skating partner back in November.
Eisler is Canadian pairs Olympic champ and Swanson is best known as the original Buffy The Vampire Slayer from the 1992 movie and her appearance as a Playboy cover girl.
Eisler's wife Marcie told Star Magazine she discovered the affair when she was eight months pregnant with Lloyd's child! However a publicist for Eisler and Swanson say they started dating after Lloyd and Marci were separated.
A friend of Marcie's provided additional details to Star, telling the magazine that Lloyd made an attempt to reconcile with her after they separated, by calling her and telling her that he
still loved her.
Marcie has sold tier home in Bath, Ontario and is moving to nearby Kingston, Ontario. She told the magazine "I need a fresh start." She went on to say “I was shocked, upset and betrayed, I should have trusted my instincts.” The Eisler's have two children, 19 months and the newborn who is seven weeks old.
She told the magazine she suspected her figure-skater hubby was two-timing with
Swanson when she flew out to L.A. to visit him during the taping of the show. And she says Kristy made sure she knew about it. Kristy forward an email from Lloyd to Marcie. “It basically talked about how much he loved her,” according to Star.
Lloyd “eventually admitted it,” when his wife confronted him. “I told him, ‘One of us is leaving this house because we cannot continue together,’ ” Marcie told the magazine. “Lloyd left on Nov. 5.”
They were legally separated on Nov. 30. According to Marcie in Star her husband of three years and Swanson are still an item. She says, “I talk to Lloyd because we have two children together, I guess he
and Kristy deserve each other.”
You may remember that during Lloyd and Kristy's early performances on the show they were criticized by Judge Dorothy Hamil who said "I’d love to see more of a connection between the two of you.”
Obviously they agreed.
