American Idol: Taylor Hicks' First Single Due June 13th
May 30, 2006
|
American Idol Taylor Hicks will have his first single, "Do I Make You Proud", released on June 13th. He's going to be a busy guy.
Besides additional studio time to work on the single Taylor will be swamped with interviews and guest appearances between now and the release date. And no rest for the American Idol winner when that is done.
The single release will be followed by a tour with the other American Idol finalists and then it will be time to hit the studio again to work on his first post-American Idol album. His self-produced album, "Under The Radar" is selling well.
According to UPI Taylor "wants to stay true to what he was on the show -- a soulful performer influenced by legends like Ray Charles and Elvis Presley. His goal, he says is to "make music real again."
He said his "vision as an artist is to inject more feeling into popular music."
