Becky O'Donohue Bares The Twins

Note: The following was written before the Thrusday night results show.
Will Becky O'Donohue be asked to leave American Idol? You may recall that Frenchie Davis made it to Hollywood and then got the boot when it was revealed that she had posed topless for an adult web site.
According to an AP article Becky posed with sister Jessie in a "series of sexy photos on the Maxim magazine website. The 25-year-old twins pose in bikinis, unbuttoned baseball jerseys, and glistening with sweat in a sauna-like setting, wearing only towels."
I was going to put a link in here to the Maxim site but they appear to be having server problems. Maybe the traffic from the story is just more than they can handle.
According to Maxim Online Editor Jordan Burchette, the photos were part of a series used two years ago as part of the site's fantasy baseball game. Quoted in the AP report Burchette says "They were athletes in college, then models, and now they're vocalists. We look forward to their political careers."
According to AP a FOX spokesperson had no comment. But then the FOX spokesperson never has a comment. The network and producers just make a decision and more often than not we don't hear about it until the person just doesn't appear on the show. Sometimes there is an explanation and sometimes not.
What Frenchie Davis did was not illegal. What Becky did was not illegal. Frenchie should not have been sent home. Becky shouldn't be sent home either.

Well the whole thing is moot now since Becky was sent home last night with the lowest vote count of all the girls. Nobody seems to have seen this coming. None of our staff predicted that Becky would go. Click here for our predictions. The paranoid in me is wondering if this was how they decided to handle the situation. I had Becky ranked in a tie for 6th among the girls. She didn't seem surprised. The judges weren't asked if they were surprised. I was. We'll probably never know.
In other American Idol news - Once again this year the RTVC staff will be predicting who will be going home each week. This week the top 12 females perform tonight. The top 12 males will be featured tomorrow night. The results show on Thursday night will see two from each group sent home. On Thursday morning we will post our predictions for the four wannabes that will be sent home. We'll also give you our picks for the male and female stand-out performance of the week. Look for it to be headlined on our front page Thursday morning.
