American Idol: Porn Idolgate - No Voice - So What She's Naked Dude

That seems to be the attitude of millions of voters. Antonella Barba remains safely in the American Idol Top 16 and I'm telling you right now she will be safely in the Top 12. According to dialidol.com she was ranked third among all the girls. Beat only by the talents of Lakisha Jones and Melinda Doolittle. At least that gives me a little hope of having someone with real talent win this thing.
The girl is pretty. And she does have some talent, but she should never have made the Top 24, she is just not that good. But she will make the Top 12. And she will make it because of her nude photos on the web not because of her talent as an entertainer. I wonder how she feels knowing she is making it in a singing competition based on nudity rather than singing talent. I don't think she should feel all that ashamed of the photos themselves. But shouldn't she feel shame that people with a lot more talent are getting dumped? I would. Maybe you would too.

Antonella's career choice?
Last week Leslie Hunt was asked, "Was it hard to see Antonella get through?" She replied, "There's certain hype that comes with her, and that's not really something I understand. It doesn't excite me that she has pictures like that. I mean, who doesn't? Whatever, get over it. But I knew getting into this that it wasn't just about singing."
Alaina Alexander was asked, "Were you ever nervous that private pictures of you might hit the Web?" She says "No, I wasn't worried. It's unfortunate when that happens, but you have to keep going. I didn't really pay attention to the Internet or newspaper so I could stay focused, but I overheard people talking about it. Antonella's strong and doing just fine and she'll pull through."
I think they are being kind. I think neither of them belong in the Top 12 but both of them gave a better performance than Antonella.
But even though I believe she will undoubtedly make the Top 12 I don't think she will win it. There may be armies of horny young males voting for her photos, but in the end it won't be enough. So what happens then?
According to Antonella if she does not win American Idol she will return to school. But will she? Hugh Hefner of Playboy
Magazine has said he is considering offering her a spread in the magazine. Personally I think the decision is made and if she wants it she'll get the cover.
Jack Ryan writing for the National Ledger agrees. He wrote "I'm about 90% sure that Playboy is seriously at work on getting the Point Pleasant Beach babe for its summer issue. It's really not complicated: She'll get booted next week, and then possibly fly to California for her Playboy shoot by the end of the month. Hef will have her on the cover of the May or June issue of Playboy."
The only part of that I don't agree with is she is going home this week. She's going to be around for a while.
What I'm really waiting for is more photos showing up. It wouldn't surprise me at all.
