The Bachelor: Andy And Tessa - What The Fans Are Saying

The Bachelor, Lt. Andy Baldwin, gave his final rose to Tessa along with an engagement ring which she accepted. Reports in the New York Post, an further reported here, that Tessa declined Andy's proposal turned out to be false. In fact, according to Tessa, they were totally fabricated. She says she never met with a reporter from the Post and never revealed anything about the show during it's run.
In a telephone interview Andy and Tessa say they are still together and still in love. Tessa is moving to Hawaii and although wedding plans have been discussed no date has been set. Andy wants a traditional Naval wedding with an arch of swords and Tessa wants it to happen on a beach.
However, they both are saying they want to take is "slow" now that the show is over. In the past that has been the signal of a doomed "The Bachelor" relationship. Time will tell.

I am so glad that Andy chose Tessa! True love is not about infatuation or chemistry/pheromones/hormones. Love is a decision based on personality, potential, and yes passion. However, passion does not have to be immediate. These shows only last a short time and in my opinion neither Andy nor Tessa were the typical reality type love affair. What is wrong with the old fashioned way of a man pursuing the woman as Andy did with Tessa. I think this fit his conservative personality. Even though it is obviously fun to have all those women vying for his affection, Andy indeed went with a decision of head and heart. When chemistry fades the head will keep a commitment and love that builds on a solid foundation deeper than attraction alone will win out. Some relationships may be "peak too sooners". I believe since Tessa proved she wasn't one to give her affections to Andy without him earning them was commendable. After all she wasn't in it to play the game. She wanted to love truly. Andy did too. He had feelings for Tessa early on and felt her worthy of the chase. Good Hunting Andy!

For the first time, I actually found this show distasteful. The raw pain in Bevin's eyes and face were too much. Also what I found too much was that Andy had told her he loved her. She believed without a doubt that she was the one. I think that was very crass of Andy, whom I had had some admiration for.
I've liked Tessa from the start, and believe she may be a more pragmatic choice for Andy, considering his lifestyle. Actually of the top 3, I thought Danielle would make him the best Navy wife.
This was without a doubt, the most painful reality show I have ever watched. I think Andy could have guarded the women's feelings more carefully, by being more careful about voicing his love for them. For how could an officer and gentleman ever leave a woman he had just declared his love for? Bevin had ever right to be shocked and pained.
She certainly left with dignity. Nothing could be more eloquent than saying nothing. Good for you Bevin!

Bevin is a drama queen and not nearly as sophisticated as the situation required. It was Tessa's finesse, sophistication and confidence in herself that won the game. Bevin was a mess from day one. Passion is fun, but fizzles out quickly. Tessa and Andy have a lifetime to develop that passion slowly, steadily and it will be long-lasting, built on a strong foundation.

I was a total Tessa fan because I knew that she really loved Andy and that when she wanted to leave, the only thing that made her stay was that she knew she was starting to fall in love with Andy and that she might have just met the man of her dreams.
I also liked Bevin but.....
