That Travis sure knows how to make a girl feel special...12 of them, in fact.
Last week, Nashville ER physician Travis Stork came to Paris and was introduced to 25 beautiful women. After wading through the cleavage and paring the field down to 12, the dating began this week. All of the girls were smitten with the courtly doctor, and almost everyone was pulling out all the stops to win a coveted rose.
Host Chris Harrison brought the chosen ladies to a beautiful French country manor, complete with a pool. Nobody seemed disappointed to be there, and all of them were glad to spend some time in this lovely place. Chris chatted with the ladies about the night's dates: one individual date and two group dates. Since Kristen had received the last rose at last week's ceremony, she would get the first one-on-one date. That reasoning didn't make much sense to me, but maybe it was because the individual dates also carried a risk: if Travis didn't give her a rose at the date, she would be going home right away.
The first group date was sightseeing in downtown Paris. Going on the date were Yvonne, Jehan, Elizabeth, Cole and Sarah S. Travis picked them up and the lucky five piled into a red double-decker bus. They sat on the top deck, and there seemed to be no better way to see all the sights of Paris. Cole expressed her hope that Travis might pick her as "the one", since "every mom would be happy, to have her daughter bring home a doctor."
Back at the house, Kristen's excitement was plain to everyone. She was very upbeat, and wanted to do "fun" things - like make gowns out of toilet paper. No one else seemed to share her passion for Charmin Art.
The sightseeing bus came to their dinner destination: the Arc D'Triomphe. Travis had planned a romantic dinner on top of the monument, but the rainy weather threatened to dampen their plans, if not their spirits. All the girls held clear plastic umbrellas and gallant Travis volunteered to sit on the one wet chair. Travis asked Jehan to spend some private time with him. They went to a separate area, which had been prepared with a blanket and pillows. Jehan proclaimed this setting "very romantic" Travis and Jehan looked very cozy under the blanket, and wise Jehan asked Travis questions about himself. She wanted to know about his job. She said she was into "nature, church and self." Travis really seemed to like her, and gave her the coveted rose. The others seemed jealous, but they knew they'd have at least one more chance.
Travis continued to show.....
