Jenny Lane Big Brother 7 All Stars: James Gone, HoH Erika, Game On!

Episode 22 Recap by Jenny Lane
August 25, 2006

Previously on Big Brother 7 All Stars, Howie was evicted and Janelle had a pity party, Boogie won HoH and nominated James and Janelle, Janelle won the PoV and James acted like a two year old, George was nominated for eviction, and tonight is eviction night.

Julie looks strangely conservative tonight in brown and white. She opens the show by reminding us that James thinks he's safe this week, but will he become "another Howie?" Time to get caught up and see what's been happening since Tuesday.

Danielle tells James that she's getting worried about the vote (worried that he'll get voted out instead of George). She goes to Will, who tells her that the strongest relationships he has are with Boogie and her, not James. Will seems concerned that James might be heading back to Janelle's side of the world. I think he's just setting the groundwork so that Danielle isn't shocked if James gets evicted.

In the Diary Room, Danielle says that "if Boogie and Will pull something and James walks out the door, God help them." Obviously, Will succeeded and the seed of doubt was effectively planted.

Erika tells Danielle that the "vote is tough". Remember, Erika has a supposedly secret alliance with George, so she too needs to lay groundwork for Danielle to not be shocked if she votes James out. By the way, has anyone else noticed that when Danielle gets stressed, she puts on her glasses, pulls her hair back, clenches her jaw and bounces her leg?

Danielle tries to convince Erika that James should stay, and says that James put his neck on the line with his Season Six alliance to throw the PoV (the one where he "accidentally" spilled the champagne glass). Erika reminds Danielle that he threw the competition for Danielle, not for Erika.

Danielle realizes that Erika is going to vote to evict James, and that Boogie and Will probably will too. So, it's time to make a deal with the devil!

Danielle asks Janelle if she wants to "call a truce." Oh boy, the look on Janelle's face. I just happened to pause the show right after Danielle said that (to catch up on my typing) and got a freeze frame of the funniest look on Janelle's face. Amused and surprised and even stunned.

After collecting herself, Janelle says "um, for a week?" and then agrees to the truce.

Danielle implies to Janelle that she wants to get rid of people who float back and forth between whoever is in power that week. She says that she will take care of some things when she's HoH and Janelle can take care of some things when you're HoH. In other words, James is probably going to get the boot and Danielle realized that if Janelle wins HoH she may very well get nominated, so maybe if she pretends to want to align with Janelle, she won't get nominated.

Danielle admits (in the Diary Room) that she plans to knock Chilltown down. So much for her Legion of Doom alliance.

James talks to Janelle about the vote. He tells Janelle that Erika may vote to keep George and asks if she knows how Will is going to vote. So apparently he's worried about the Legion of Doom alliance too. Janelle says she doesn't know how Will is voting, and that she will vote to keep James.

James says that he is counting on votes from Danielle, Janelle and Will, so he feels pretty confident that he's staying. Why is he counting on just Will's vote, don't Will and Boogie always vote the same?

Will assures James that he won't be "another Howie". Will even says that it doesn't even matter how Janelle or Erika vote, James will be staying.

In the HoH room, Will and Boogie talk about voting out James. Will tells Boogie about the conversations he's had with Danielle. Boogie says that they might not be able to vote James out and have Danielle be ok with it. Will says James has to go, or he'll be coming after them next. Of course if James goes and Danielle isn't ok with it, she'll be coming after them.

Time for Julie to greet.....
