Big Brother 7 All Stars: Will It Be A Gamer Or A Place Filler
Spoiler Report and Commentary by Big Sister
July 19, 2006

It was another wild night in the Big Brother 7 All Stars house as anger and confrontation ruled the evening. Keep in mind that it can all change again today before they cast their votes but as of last night, when the hamsters bedded down in their nests, it was not looking good for Kaysar's plan to keep Nakomis and evict Diane.
There was a major argument between James and Kaysar. James is feeling like he is not an equal partner in the BB6 alliance because he was not informed of Kaysar's plan to nominate floaters and stir up the house prior to the plan's execution. He feels he should have been consulted and he feels Kaysar should have nominated the Chill Town alliance. James sees them as a bigger threat than the floaters while Kaysar feels that not knowing what the floaters will do is a bigger threat to the BB6 alliance than Chill Town's known opposition. He tries to explain that his plan was to put the floaters in a position where they would have to commit to one side or the other so that the BB6'ers would know where they stand.
James continues his argument, and they are yelling at each other, that he needs to know he is a part of the alliance, that it is not all about Kaysar. Kaysar argues back that he did what he did for the alliance, not for himself.
I can see James' point. I suspect Kaysar did not consult with him because he knew what James would say and did not want to deal with it. That was a mistake. Kaysar plays the game as though he were playing chess. He is logical and thinks several moves ahead. Kaysar is planning what will happen two and three weeks from now while the rest of the house guests are just working the game on a week to week or even day to day basis. Most of them are playing an emotional rather than intellectual game.
I think Kaysar had the right plan. I think it makes more sense than going after Chill Town right now. But I think he executed it poorly. He should have made sure that Janelle, James, and Howie all understood his plan in advance. If he could not secure their agreement that it was a good plan he should have at least secured their support of it in advance. It would have saved him a lot of trouble. Kaysar plays a great intellectual and strategic game, maybe the best the show has seen. But he plays an abysmal social and people game. His mistakes are always focused on how he reads people. And he does not do that well. It got him evicted twice last season and this season it is alienating him from his own alliance.
Later last night James got into another argument. This time with Marcellas. It was over who Marcellas was going to vote for. Give James credit for loyalty to his alliance in this case because he was lobbying Marcellas to vote to evict Diane. But Marcellas, who has no strategic awareness at all, is playing a strictly emotional game. He has bought into Diane's "my-life-sucks" manipulation and promised her he would vote to save her. Although I don't find Marcellas to be very bright, I do credit him for honoring his word.
And credit goes to both of them because when it was over they calmed down and hugged each other.
Of course Chill Town is taking advantage of all this. They are spreading the word among the floaters that Kaysar is weak and vulnerable even within his own alliance. They are lobbying to keep Diane because they feel they have a better chance of using an emotional appeal to control her than Nakomis who works from a more logical viewpoint.
It may work for them this time.
As I write this I think the vote will go like this:
Howie, Janelle, and James will vote to evict Diane.
Jase, Marcellas, Danielle, George, Will and Mike will vote to evict Nakomis.
I am not sure which way Erika will go. She has said she will "vote with the house".
But if I am correct about the other votes it will not matter which way Erika votes; the result will be the same. Nakomis will be evicted and we will be stuck with another whining houseguest who is not a game player but just place filler.
Ironically, Nakomis was Kaysar's original target. He became convinced over the weekend, by his own alliance, that Nakomis should be saved. Or did he? Could he see this many moves ahead? Did he just go along with them knowing Chill Town would play it this way. Knowing that his original target would go home as he planned? Is he a grand manipulator?
Nah, I don't think so.
