Big Brother 7 All Stars: Erika And Mike - Showmance Or Romance?

Last night in the Big Brother 7 All Star house Dr. Will let go with another one of his rants against all of us who love the show so much that we watch the live feeds and scour the internet for all the information we can get. People like you and me. He has done this many times this season and it is usually about how dumb we all are and how we need to get a life. Talk about bite the hand that feeds you. This guy will gobble up the whole arm.
I usually ignore his rants. I consider the source and don't worry about it and usually they are mildly amusing. But last night he said something interesting. He was talking about giving us all something to think about, something to ponder, and something to talk about on the web. Well he succeeded because here I am.
Last night Will announced on the live feeds that Erika and Mike Boogie had been dating for six months before entering the house. But he did not stop there. He also announced that Mike and Erika are engaged.
Now when I first heard this I thought two things. Erika and Mike who were present when this happened did not deny it. And it's just more of Dr. Will's bullshit. He's all about creating chaos and having fun with it. He believes it makes for good TV. And he's right, he is entertaining. But I just didn't believe it. I thought Erika and Mike are in on the joke.
But last night something else happened that has made me wonder. The live feeds covered Erika and Mike in bed together. We often see the hamsters in bed together and it is nothing new for the live feeds. Nor is it unusual that Erika and Mike are in bed, they have slept together before. We've seen them flirt before. But this is the first time we have seen them get intimate. And there was no doubt that they were enjoying themselves.

We clearly saw Mike head under the covers for about 10 minutes. Erika was obviously enjoying this. There was no protest. We saw Mike come back up and it was obvious his hands were all over her, under the covers, and that she was enjoying it. Although she did express concern that they were being watched on the live feeds and at one point she said "Hello Mom".
Erika returned the favor and it was clear that her hands were pleasing him. Several times he moaned and again she said something about being watched on the live feeds. But she didn't stop.
There were several very passionate kisses followed by some gentle caressing. It appeared obvious that this was not the first time these two have been together. They seemed very comfortable with each other and very much into each other.
At one point they discussed their families and Erika told Mike that her Mom "loves him". Shortly after this Mike was clearly heard saying "I am in love with you".
After saying goodnight they settled into spoon position to go to sleep.
My apologies if you were offended, but I did warn you. These are grown-ups and it does happen. And the feeds are 24/7.
But is it a showmance or a romance? As I said, when I heard Dr. Will's announcement I paid little attention to it. But now I wonder.
If it is a showmance and started in the house, how does Erika's mother know Mike well enough to have feelings about him?
Or could it be a "showmance" in that they are creating a show for TV? Not to mention the live feeders.
Or is it real? Have they been dating for six months? Are they engaged? I don't know. But I can tell you this. What happened last night looked like real and genuine emotion being expressed between two people who really care about each other.
And that could be a very strong alliance. Erika and Mike Boogie playing for Final Two? Maybe. Dr. Will in the house to help them make it there? Maybe. And how much of this is CBS going to show?
I love this game.
When I know more, I'll let you know.
