Celebrity Fit Club: ANT Tells Screech To Bail

Episode 5 Recap by Travis H.
May 21, 2007
It was fairly calm and quiet on Celebrity Fit Club last week. For the most part, Screech behaved himself and didn't offend anybody too much. It's no longer the men versus the women as the teams were mixed up. Kimberley, Brat, Warren and Cledus are now on the Regulators team and Screech, Ross, Maureen and Tiffany are on the other team who has changed their name to the Athletes. In the end, The Athletes lost a combined total of 25 pounds and a total 10.6% body weight so far and the Regulators lost 21 pounds and a total of 9.2% body weight so far in the competition which means Screech's won the weigh in last week.

It's now day 64 of the competition and the celebs have been invited to the Granada Dance Studio in Alhambra, California which can mean only one thing; it's time for a good old fashioned dance off! Sure enough, this week's fit camp is a dance marathon so in order for the celebs to learn the right moves, world class dance instructor Enio Cordoba and his staff have come to give everyone some dance lessons. At first the celebs are short on skill but long on enthusiasm, but eventually got into the swing. Well, that is everyone except Maureen. She's not dancing. In fact I don't see her anywhere. Hmmm, where could she be? Oh wait, Ross found her - over at the bar making herself a few shots! I know how you feel Maureen. I can't dance unless I'm drunk either. While Maureen knocked back a few shots, everyone dropped it like it was hot showing off their sexy dance moves. Let's hope we don't have to endure watching Screech attempting some sexy moves. Seriously, do we really want to see that? Ross says as a dancer he think's he's probably a two, but says that's two times better than he thought he would be.

With everyone loose and limber, Drill Sergeant Harvey lays down the rules. Each team will have to pair off into two couples. If any of the teams stop dancing, they will be eliminated. The last couple left dancing on the dance floor will be the dance marathon winner. If by chance there is a tie, dance instructor Enio will make a decision based on technique. Winning the challenge isn't just about bragging rights and each team captain has selected a children's charity and the winning team's charity will win over $12,000 in gifts. Ross selected A Chance for Children charity and Warren chose the St. Judes Childrens Hospital.

The challenge has started and the teams of two are: Warren and Brat, Kim and Cledus, Maureen and Ross and finally Tiffany with Screech. Oh, that poor girl. Screech was fairly decent last week, hardly picking on anybody, but we all know the new Screech won't last long. The celebs seem to be having a good time so far, but liquored up Maureen looks a little tipsy and keeps chanting "I Yi Yi, I Yi Yi". Ant thinks Maureen is about to be arrested for DUI; Dancing Under the Influence.

ANT tells Screech to go ahead and bail.
After the first 15 minutes, it looks like Ross and Maureen have finally got their groove on, and everyone else is looks pretty good too. They wouldn't make it on "Dancing with the Stars", but to be fair, they had about 10 minutes worth of training here. Wait, I take that back. If Billy Ray made it eight weeks on that show, who knows how far a drunken Maureen could go! At 30 minutes, Harvey yells for everyone to pick up the pace. He comments that Screech is working up a sweat and, excuse me while I hurl, Screech turns to the camera and says "Ya like that huh? Ya like that sweat don't ya?".

Everyone is still going strong after 75 minutes of dancing and "Disco Inferno" starts playing and it's time for some freestyle dancing! No more of this couples crap! Maureen is showing those Jazz Hands, then she's bumpin' butts with Ross. Screech actually looks like he might be able to dance a bit and Cledus is grinding with Kimberley. After the 90 minute mark, the celebs are starting to show some wear and tear and most everyone is dancing with a bottle of water in their hands.

Screech spills some water on his shirt and stops dancing for a second. ANT calls him on it and tells him he's out of the competition and even though they were no longer dancing together, Tiffany is out too since she was initially paired up with him. Never one to give up without a fight, Screech tries to convince ANT that he didn't stop dancing and that his feet kept moving. ANT has finally had enough and yells "You're Out! It's not dancing Mr. Smartass!" Screech comments to ANT that this is controversy that could ruin the show, especially if he bails. ANT tells him to just bail. After leaving the dance floor, Screech tells the producer that he wants to challenge ANT to a physical fight. Screech might actually win that fight. Didn't he win when he was on that Celebrity Boxing show a few years ago when he was up against Ron Palillo from "Welcome Back Kotter"?

The chaos brings the marathon to.....
