Real World Road Rules Challenge - Evan Leads The Pack
November 2, 2006 Rankings by Logan Huffman
On the second episode of 'The Duel', Tina ruined her chances at defeating Beth fair and square, instead taking the low road and punching Beth, causing her expulsion in the process. Since Tina's actions eliminated herself, the other girls were not subjected to a duel.

Later, the guys teamed up with the girls for the 'Pass with Care' challenge, in which both team members must cross a suspended wooden bridge after meeting each other in the middle without any part of their body (except for their feet) touching the bridge. After Diem was the only person able to complete the challenge (her partner CT fell off the bridge), another round in which you could touch the bridge was played, and Evan and Jodi emerged victorious, sparing Evan from 'The Duel'.

During 'The Duel' selection, Tyler was once again isolated, being forced to complete another successful duel to remain in the game. To everyone's shock, Tyler chose fiercely competitive veteran Derrick to face-off against in 'The Duel'.

Derrick and Tyler faced off in 'The Duel' challenge called Ascension, in which both players had to quickly ascend a rope and make their way across monkey bars to lower a bag of puzzle pieces to the ground, and then quickly use the pieces to assemble a puzzle. Although they were nearly neck and neck in the climbing, both men struggled assembling the puzzle. In the end, Derrick completed the puzzle first, and despite Tyler's best efforts, he was the third person eliminated from 'The Duel'.

On the third episode of 'The Duel', everyone competed in an all-out, extremely physical roller derby challenge. The girls were competing to gain immunity from the impending Duel, but the guys also had quite a bit to play for, as they battled it out for a BMW motorcycle. On the female side, Casey, Svetlana, and Jodi battled it out in the final heat to try to ensure their safety, but in the end, Casey and Svetlana's lack of physicality against Jodi allowed her to win the challenge and gain immunity from the next duel. CT and Brad fought it out for the motorcycle, and after an extremely fierce and physical battle, Brad emerged victorious, winning himself a BMW motorcycle.

During the Duel selection, Paula encouraged Eric to save Svetlana, sending Paula to the Duel. After Aneesa knocked her down during the roller derby, Paula decided to take her on in the Duel challenge she selected called 'Pole Wrestle'.

In 'Pole Wrestle', Aneesa and Paula each had to hold tightly to a wooden stick while trying to yank it from the other player's hands. While Paula gave a tremendous amount of effort and heart, holding off Aneesa for over eight minutes, Aneesa overpowered her in the end, causing Paula to be the fourth contestant eliminated from 'The Duel'.
Evan
Current Ranking: 1 - Previous Ranking: 7

Evan proved how tough of a competitor he was, winning the 'Pass with Care' challenge and sparing himself a potential Duel battle. He is well-liked and is a strong and tough competitor, so I don't think he will be going anywhere for a while.

Jodi
Current Ranking: 2 - Previous Ranking: 11

Jodi skyrockets up the scoreboard this week, catapulting herself to the second position. She won the digital projector in the 'Pass with Care' Duel challenge, and proceeded to win immunity in the next Duel challenge, the roller derby. She may be tougher than anyone expected.

Diem
Current Ranking: 3 - Previous Ranking: 2

Diem remains near the top of the scoreboard this week. She was the only person to complete the 'Pass with Care' challenge without the use of her hands, and if not for CT's fall, she would have earned herself a digital projector. Diem has already been through an extremely tough life experience, leaving little doubt in my mind that she will still be around in the end.

Brad
Current Ranking: 4 - Previous Ranking: 8

I really like Brad, and am so happy for him that he was able to win a great prize in the roller derby challenge, earning a BMW motorcycle for his extremely fierce performance. Brad is very strong, and I don't think anyone really wants to take him on in a Duel.

Eric
Current Ranking: 5 - Previous Ranking: 1

Eric tumbles down the scoreboard a little this week. While his performance in the 'Pass with Care' challenge was quite impressive, his performance in the roller derby challenge was not. The other guys are far more athletic than him, which I believe will hurt him sooner, rather than later.

Robin
Current Ranking: 6 - Previous Ranking: 3

Despite her lousy performance in the roller derby challenge due to her blown out roller skate tire, she did place second alongside Eric in the 'Pass with Care' challenge, and as one of the veterans, she is in little danger of going to a Duel unless challenged, but I think she could win a Duel anyway.

CT
Current Ranking: 7 - Previous Ranking: 9

Although CT's fall in the 'Pass with Care' challenge cost him immunity, he didn't really need it anyway, as he is well-liked by the others. While he did put up a great fight in the roller derby challenge, Brad just overtook him, losing himself a BMW motorcycle in the process. But I think CT will be here for quite a while, so there will be plenty of other prizes for him to win.

Derrick
Current Ranking: 8 - Previous Ranking: 6

Derrick ran into a problem this time, which was Tyler challenging him due to wanting to take out one of the strong, established veterans. After a close call, Derrick squeaked by and defeated Tyler, saving himself until he is challenged again. Derrick is tough, and he should stick around for a while, but may be challenged solely on other's desires to take out the strong veterans.

Aneesa
Current Ranking: 9 - Previous Ranking: 10

Aneesa is fierce, and she refuses to take crap off of anyone. She clearly rubs some of the others the wrong way, and that came back to bite her as she was challenged to a Duel by Paula. Despite Aneesa's sheer strength, Paula appeared to take quite a lot out of her, putting up a much tougher fight than I think Aneesa expected. Lucky for Aneesa, she did defeat Paula in the end, but she will probably be challenged in the near future by others looking to take out one of the strong veterans.

Kenny
Current Ranking: 10 - Previous Ranking: 4

Kenny delivered decent performances in both challenges, and is a fairly strong competitor. He isn't a favorite among the guys, so I'm sure they'll eventually team up against him, but he's safe for now.

Kina
Current Ranking: 11 - Previous Ranking: 5

We didn't see too much of Kina over the past two episodes. She performed averagely in both of the challenges, and largely flies under the radar. She is liked by the others, and isn't in any real danger of being eliminated any time soon.

Beth
Current Ranking: 12 - Previous Ranking: 15

Beth successfully got underneath Tina's skin, eliminating one of her toughest competitors from the competition. She made a gutsy effort in the 'Pass with Care' challenge, going all out despite her fear of heights. She is still disliked, but tried to play the roller derby challenge diplomatically, trying not to gain any more enemies. Next week, she appears to start a romance with Nehemiah, and as long as he can save her at the selections, she may stick around for a while.

Casey
Current Ranking: 13 - Previous Ranking: 13

I will give Casey credit for winning one of the female heats in the roller derby challenge. She fought quite hard against Aneesa, who is probably the strongest girl on this season. I don't know how long she can remain safe from a Duel, but she might just be able to win if she is challenged.

Nehemiah
Current Ranking: 14 - Previous Ranking: 12

I just don't really like Nehemiah. He is really boring, and if he is singled out to compete in the next Duel, I won't be disappointed at all. From next week's previews, it appears that he and Beth get cozy. Is anyone else out there as grossed out at that pairing as I am? Hopefully their romantic fling will be short-lived and Nehemiah will be the next guy eliminated from 'The Duel'

Wes
Current Ranking: 15 - Previous Ranking: 14

I think Wes may be left out in selection next week, forcing him to face someone in a Duel. I have no idea who he would choose, but he could possibly defeat one of the veterans. If Wes wants to ensure his safety, he needs to win the next immunity Duel challenge.

Svetlana
Current Ranking: 16 - Previous Ranking: 17

Svetlana is in the absolute worst position at the moment, and most likely, for the rest of the competition. She is the last remaining member of the Key West cast, and will surely be challenged on the next female duel day. She did show some potential by winning one heat of the roller derby challenge, so maybe she will be able to pull out some major strength from deep down inside to eliminate some of the veterans.

Paula
Fourth Elimination

Even though Paula fell short in 'The Duel', she really impressed me with her toughness against Aneesa, one of the strongest and fiercest girls on the show. She held off Aneesa for an amazing eight minutes, which was something I didn't think Paula possessed the ability to do. If she hadn't been a Key West cast member, she may have made it much further into the competition. Despite her best efforts, Paula was the fourth player to be eliminated from 'The Duel'.

Tyler
Third Elimination

Even though Tyler tried his hardest, there is only so much you can do when everyone is against you. Tyler was the third person to be eliminated from 'The Duel' after challenging Derrick to a duel, and losing to Derrick in the ascension duel challenge.

Tina
Expelled

Tina was expelled from 'The Duel' after she lost her cool and punched Beth in the face. She was stupid for doing it, as she basically let Beth win the battle, and she just looked immature in the process. Tina's actions destroyed her chances at $150,000, making her the second person eliminated from 'The Duel'.

John
Eliminated: Episode 1

John was the first contestant to be eliminated from 'The Duel' after Tyler challenged him, and John unsuccessfully doubted Tyler's ability to lift thirty-one watermelons in 'The Duel' challenge.
