Real World Road Rules Challenge - Casey Engineers Her Own Demise
November 15, 2006 Rankings by Logan Huffman
This week on 'The Duel', Beth, Wes, Aneesa, and Nehemiah solidified their alliance by bringing Casey and Svetlana into the mix.
The challenge involved jumping back and forth from platforms suspended in mid-air, grabbing as many flags as possible in the process. CT won on the guys' side, collecting 35 flags, and winning two Frontier Airlines tickets in the process. On the female side, Svetlana beat Kina and Robin by one flag after finding the extra flag stuck to the inside of her swimsuit, winning much-needed immunity for herself.
During selection, Svetlana set off the chain for Beth's alliance, picking Wes, who of course saves Aneesa, Nehemiah, and Beth, exactly how Beth planned for the selection to work. In the end, Casey was left standing, and for the alliance, she called out Robin, hoping to take one of the Drama Mafia down.
After Casey selected Pole Wrestle for 'The Duel', she and Robin battled it out for the right to stay in the competition. Robin managed to wrestle the pole away from Casey, causing Casey to be the sixth player eliminated from 'The Duel'.
Before you read my rankings below, I want to warn everyone that there are spoilers about which players go into next week's Duel, so beware if you do not want to know!

CT
Current Ranking: 1 - Previous Ranking: 6
I think CT is probably the strongest guy in the competition, shooting him up to the first position on the scoreboard. He won the challenge, winning two airline tickets to anywhere Frontier Airlines flies in the process. He is a tough competitor, and he will be difficult to eliminate.
Brad
Current Ranking: 2 - Previous Ranking: 2
Brad stays in the number two position this week. He is right up there with CT in strength, and I think he will be sticking around for quite a while.
Svetlana
Current Ranking: 3 - Previous Ranking: 14
Svetlana takes a huge leap up the scoreboard this week, jumping up eleven spots to the third position this week. She delivered a huge win for Beth's alliance, giving herself a much-needed immunity win in the process, as she surely would have been challenged if she hadn't won. She showed that she is a force to be reckoned with in this challenge, and with Beth on her side, she may actually stick around for a while.
Beth
Current Ranking: 4 - Previous Ranking: 3
Beth remains near the top of the scoreboard, due to her useful alliance. She owes a lot of credit to Svetlana, as she won the challenge and gave Beth's alliance the power. Although they lost Casey, she was the weakest player in their alliance, and Beth is a fiercely tough competitor, so Beth should be around for a while.
Aneesa
Current Ranking: 5 - Previous Ranking: 4
Aneesa also remains near her previous rank, due to her alliance. Although she didn't perform well in the challenge, the others have seen her fierceness in the Duels, and they will probably think twice before challenging her.
Wes
Current Ranking: 6 - Previous Ranking: 11
Wes also makes quite a leap up the scoreboard this week, as his alliance is quite powerful. If they can keep this up, Wes will stick around for a while. Plus, the others are more concerned about targeting Nehemiah first.
Derrick
Current Ranking: 7 - Previous Ranking: 1
Derrick takes a tumble down the scoreboard this week. He is still a strong player, and he probably would have won the challenge for the guys if he hadn't fallen, as he was going pretty fast. He may be challenged, but he isn't really in any danger of being eliminated.
Evan
Current Ranking: 8 - Previous Ranking: 7
Evan stays around the same rank. He is a tough competitor, and will win some more challenges, I'm sure. He is also well-liked, and I don't think the others will be challenging him, causing him to stick around for a while.
Jodi
Current Ranking: 9 - Previous Ranking: 5
I think that Jodi is the strongest member of the Drama Mafia. She has won quite a few challenges, and is probably the last target on the Beth's list. Jodi is in less danger than her fellow Drama Mafians (Is that a word? If not, it is now!)
Kina
Current Ranking: 10 - Previous Ranking: 15
Kina is also in a lot of danger. She clearly holds the most contempt for Beth, and she doesn't hide it very well. If she goes to a Duel with Beth, Svetlana, or Aneesa, I think she may lose to any of them. Kina could be in trouble.
Robin
Current Ranking: 11 - Previous Ranking: 12
Robin moves up a little on the scoreboard this week. She is high on the target list of Beth's alliance, but she quite handily defeated Casey in the Duel (although, probably anyone could have beaten Casey). Robin may still be in danger.
Diem
Current Ranking: 12 - Previous Ranking: 8
Diem is in a strong alliance, and she is well-liked and will be protected, but it may not be enough. She hasn't been performing so well in the challenges, and another girl may see her as an easy player to challenge to a Duel. Diem could be in trouble.
Nehemiah
Current Ranking: 13 - Previous Ranking: 10
Nehemiah is in a strong alliance, but falls to this position due to the commercial preview, where he is challenged by Eric. If he lucks out and they play Ascender, he will easily win, as he is great at that, as he has proven. I really don't think he will have any trouble beating Eric, and he will most likely continue on in the competition.
Eric
Current Ranking: 14 - Previous Ranking: 9
Eric falls to the bottom of the scoreboard this week. From the commercial for the next episode, we are shown that Eric is left standing, meaning he will go to The Duel. He challenges Nehemiah, but I don't believe he can beat him, as he is far less athletic than any of the other guys. Eric not being selected isn't a shock, as he is liked, but doesn't really have any allies, so it was only a matter of time, but I think Eric will be headed home next week.

Casey
Sixth Elimination
While I really wanted to see Casey kick Robin's ass, we all knew what was going to happen, especially after Pole Wrestle was revealed to be 'The Duel' game. Although Casey did hold on, she looked like a little toy being dragged around by a dog. I know she was terrified of heights, but being that she didn't really have anyone to keep her safe, she should have at least attempted a jump in the platform challenge. Casey was probably the weakest girl, and despite all of her heart, she was the sixth contestant eliminated from 'The Duel'.
Kenny
Fifth Elimination
Kenny had a rough time. Although he is athletic, his strength paled in comparison to many of the other guys'. For whatever reason, Nehemiah decided that Kenny was the person he wanted to take to a duel, and even though I thought Kenny would surely win, Nehemiah proved me wrong, quickly stomping Kenny in the Ascender. Kenny was the fifth player to be eliminated from 'The Duel'.
Paula
Fourth Elimination
Even though Paula fell short in 'The Duel', she really impressed me with her toughness against Aneesa, one of the strongest and fiercest girls on the show. She held off Aneesa for an amazing eight minutes, which was something I didn't think Paula possessed the ability to do. If she hadn't been a Key West cast member, she may have made it much further into the competition. Despite her best efforts, Paula was the fourth player to be eliminated from 'The Duel'.
Tyler
Third Elimination
Even though Tyler tried his hardest, there is only so much you can do when everyone is against you. Tyler was the third person to be eliminated from 'The Duel' after challenging Derrick to a duel, and losing to Derrick in the ascension duel challenge.
Tina
Expelled
Tina was expelled from 'The Duel' after she lost her cool and punched Beth in the face. She was stupid for doing it, as she basically let Beth win the battle, and she just looked immature in the process. Tina's actions destroyed her chances at $150,000, making her the second person eliminated from 'The Duel'.
John
Eliminated: Episode 1
John was the first contestant to be eliminated from 'The Duel' after Tyler challenged him, and John unsuccessfully doubted Tyler's ability to lift thirty-one watermelons in 'The Duel' challenge.
