Fear Factor: Fairplay Is No Player - The Miz Conquers

Reality TV Stars Episode 2 Recap by AP N Tenn
June 21, 2006

All of the reality stars participating in the Fear Factor Reality Stars special are gathered awaiting the next stunt. Survivors Twila, and Johnny Fairplay, Apprentice stars, Craig and Tana, American Idol's Carmen and Anthony and last but certainly not least, Mike- 'The Miz', and Trachelle from Real World fame.

Gone are Amazing Race's Jonathon and Victoria, who were booted last week, after failing to complete the stunt, and getting into a scuffle with Joe and Johnny Fairplay. The teams gather in color-coordinated outfits. Being the powerhouse that they are in both strength and brawn, and the winners of the last stunt, the Miz and Trachelle will pick the order for the next stunt.

As they are waiting on the sidelines, Joe asks Twila if she is happy with her survivor partner Johnny Fairplay, she says yes, but rolls her eyes, the camera shows Fairplay, who looks more than a little hung over. It is revealed by practically all of the teams that Fairplay partied hard the night before.

The stunt is revealed, the teams will have to ride a Seadoo in choppy water, reach a burning boat, rescue a dummy, swim back in the waters and get the dummy to an awaiting ambulance. This is a stunt of endurance and strength. This is a non-elimination stunt and the winners will get 2 Seadoo, and $10,000. Mike and Trachelle pick Craig and Tana from the Apprentice to go first, calling them their biggest threat in this competition. Craig sets off to a good start; we see a shot of Tana's dimpled thighs, on more than one occasion. Craig does most of the work initially while Tana hangs back. Once in the water, Craig starts slacking off leaving Tana to do most of the work in swimming and dragging the dummy to safety. This was an extensive stunt, and Craig and Tana are exhausted. They finish the stunt in 7 minutes and 3 seconds. Fairplay remarks that they are in better shape than he and Twila, and they had a hard time of it.

Anthony and Carmen of American Idol are up next, wearing sporty outfits the duo head off. Fairplay declares that they are too young and stupid to have a chance to win. I don't know why he feels the need to try to bring all of the other teams down; it is not like he is an Adonis or something. Anthony and Carmen make it in a quick time to the boat; rapidly extinguishing the fire, rescue the dummy. Clearly this challenge is less about fear, and more about being strong and able to endure a lot. In the water, Anthony and Carmen begin to slow down, and have a hard time getting the dummy to safety. Joe roots them on from the sideline. There is a moment of suspense as we have to wait to find out their time, they finished in 7 minutes and 27 seconds, so Craig and Tana of the Apprentice beats them.

Trachelle and Mike from Real World decide to go next, as they declare they are tired of waiting. Mike gives Trachelle tips, and he makes some sort of statement to the camera, but the helicopter up above drowns him out. Trachelle and the Miz get off the Seadoo farther away than they should have; The Miz has problems getting up the ladder, but Trachelle surges ahead and extinguishes the fire, and grabs the dummy. In the water, Trachelle does the backstroke, while Mike single-handedly maneuvers the dummy to the safety spot. They beat Craig and Tana by over a minute with a time of 6 minutes and 7 seconds. Next up are Fairplay and Tana, it is their chance to show their stuff, as they head off to get suited up. Joe tries to get the others to rag on Johnny's physical size. Anthony gives Trachelle a massage. Meanwhile over on the sideline, Twila and Johnny are not suiting up. He is telling her that they will never beat the Miz's time and they should just not participate. Twila will agree to this bogus idea if Johnny Fairplay agrees to not go out and party hard like he did the previous night. They shake on it. When Joe arrives to find out what the deal is, Fairplay claims they are sitting out to save their strength for the next stunt, He tells the camera he is being strategic, when all those at home knows he is only being lazy. Fairplay and Twila claim that they are a thinking man team. He claims that it will be a tougher stunt for him not to go and party.

The next stunt is.....
