Previously on the Fresh Meant Real World - Road Rules Challenge:
Diem and Derrick bond when Diem reveals some very personal information to Derrick. The Austin cast continues to be targeted for exile. Coral and Evan narrowly claim their third straight victory; much to some peoples' dismay. In a surprising move, Coral and Evan select Melinda and Ryan as the first team for exile, even though they performed well. Wes and Johanna feel Johanna will be voted in next, so when the time comes, Wes volunteers himself for exile and gets his wish.
This episode begins (where else?) in a bar. Jesse is glad everyone is getting to know each other and having fun. Eric is determined to keep everyone laughing so that no one thinks of voting for him. The Timmy Syndrome, everybody. Tina continues her "we've been doing this for years" diatribe against the Austin cast and Melinda phones home. She tells Danny that she's not made for this and if he's not here, then she doesn't want to do this. Then, like a minute later, she says she's a tough competitor. So which is it Melinda?
Later, Ryan confronts Melinda about her hang ups on Danny. Melinda says that as much as she wants to go home to Danny, she can't just leave Ryan in the lurch like that. A text message arrives telling everyone of their next challenge. Johnnie interviews that someone else needs to win this challenge and not Coral and Evan.
The competitors assemble and TJ welcomes them to the "Jail Break" challenge. Each team will be handcuffed and locked up against another team in 2 separate cages. They must then search through six bowls of "prison slop" (which is just beans), using only their faces and mouths, to find three keys. These keys will unlock each member's handcuffs (but not their leg shackles) and the door to their cell. Both team members must then race to the finish line. The team with fastest time will win a year's supply of tickets from Fandango and the chance to decide the play order at the next mission. After Coral and Evan decide the play order, the mission commences.
The first two teams will be Katie and Eric and Tonya and Johnnie. Both teams get right to work and Tonya and Johnnie are the first ones out. Tonya and Johnnie run while holding hands and it really seems like they're working as a team for a change. They beat Katie and Eric to the finish line.
Johanna and Jesse and Darrell and Aviv are the next ones to go. Before they even start, Johanna and Jesse interview that it's unsanitary to go after Tonya. Jesse even says, "You don't where her lips have been or worse, you do know where her lips have been." Was there any point to that? Tonya hasn't really done anything to anyone so far in this challenge and Johanna and Jesse don't even know her. They get a few obnoxious points for that. Johanna and Jesse blaze through the challenge, quickly finding all three keys, but they drop them and lose them in the mud. This gives Darrell and Aviv a chance to cut that lead right away and rush past them. Despite J and J getting all the keys long before them, Darrell and Aviv finish first. Obviously, Jesse is furious.
Wes and Casey and Melinda and Ryan are next. Melinda and Ryan find their keys quickly and finish with a good time. In an interview, Wes comments that he has the least intelligent and least athletic person in a game where those are the only two things needed. Wow, Wes really does have a negative attitude towards Casey.
Tina and Kenny.....
