Previously on the Real World/Road Rules Challenge- Fresh Meat:
An "athletic hernia" hit Evan from out of nowhere and has left his future in this competition up in the air. The challenge proved tough, as only half of the teams were able to complete it. Tina and Kenny finally had a great performance, but they worried it wouldn't be enough. Theo and Chanda, having won the challenge, nominated Wes and Casey for exile and the rest of the teams voted Tonya and Johnnie as the other exiled team. Tonya was angered because she knew it was because people didn't like her and she vowed to get back at them. What will happen next? Find out now.
At the house, while others play, Tonya is still steaming over being voted into exile. Talking with Wes, she vents her frustrations about Tina and says Tina is her goal. Tonya tells us that she a lot of animosity for Tina which is rooted from years back. We are treated to a clip of Tina and Tonya arguing on Battle Of The Sexes 2 and Tonya and Wes talk about the possibility of her going against Tina in exile. Wes thinks Tonya will blow up soon and Tonya interviews that if either of them win the next challenge, Tina is going to exile. Tonya even promises Wes that she'll suck his toes if he beats Tina.
A text message arrives discussing the next mission. Johnnie feels confident that he and Tonya can win because they've done well in the past. Away from the competition, Linette and Theo are cozying up to each other and Theo is amused that Linette has a crush on him. The next day, Evan asks Linette what she and Theo were up to the past night and the guys (Evan, Kenny, and Eric) have a laugh at Linette's assertion of a relationship. She wants to get to know Theo and take it slow and for some reason, the three guys are having a really big laugh about it. Not like, "ha ha", but like loud braying donkeys, particularly Eric and it's obnoxious. Shut up Eric. No one wants to hook up with you.
Tonya is looking forward to winning exile and coming back, whereas Casey is not nervous since this is her fourth time going. Casey comments that it'll be a huge hassle for Tonya and Johnnie because they've packed a lot of stuff.
The teams assemble at Brunswick River in Mullumbimby where TJ introduces them to the "Incredible Deflating Kayak" challenge. Each team will compete against another team in this challenge, which involves blowing up a kayak, sailing it across the river to retrieve a flag, rowing back, deflating it, and packing it away. The team with the fastest time wins. If at any point, either of your limbs touch the water, you and your teammate must go back to the shore and start over again. Theo and Chanda decide the play order and decide to put Tonya and Johnnie in a later heat because they didn't think it was fair that they were voted into exile. With all that done, the challenge begins.
The first two teams to go are Shane/Linette and Katie/Eric. Shane interviews that their goal is just to fill up the outsides of the kayak. He and Linette quickly get to sailing and have an easy time finishing the challenge. Over on Katie and Eric's side, they are having a harder time and why the freak is Eric lounging back in the kayak? Seriously, he's like laying all the way down and its complicating matters for them. I'm not the only one to notice, as many other teams laugh and Katie yells at him. Katie and Eric do manage to finish. Katie is not thrilled with their performance and says they deserve exile. Shane thinks that if Linette is happy, she's energized, and encourages her and Theo to hook up.
The next teams to go are Derrick/Diem and Tina/Kenny. Tina jokes that they'll be able to blow up the kayak fast because Kenny is full of hot air. Derrick interviews that his and Diem's strategy is just to "go go go." Tina and Kenny are first out on the water and have a good lead, but have trouble deflating their kayak which allows Derrick and Diem to finish before them.
Wes/Casey and Coral/Evan are next.....
