Real World - Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat
Only The Strong Survive
Episode 9 Recap by Jacob D.

Previously on the Real World/Road Rules Challenge-Fresh Meat:
With most of the "easy targets" out of the game, Tina and Kenny knew they were under more pressure than ever to perform really well. The challenge for the week involved swimming for puzzle pieces in a pool of sharks. Many people let their fears get to them as only 3 teams were able to complete the challenge. For winning again, Shane and Linette got to pick the first exiled couple and they picked Katie/Eric. In the vote, just about every team voted Tina/Kenny as the other exiled couple and Kenny even voted for themselves, seeing as the vote was already stacked against them. Still, this ticked off Tina and left in a rift in their relationship. Will they pull it together, knowing they could possibly face exile? Will Wes and Casey finally get through a week without having to face exile? Find out now.
Nothing worth mentioning happens in the beginning. Just more shenanigans at a bar, this time involving a "contest" to blow up a condom.
So, let's move on. A new day at the house and Wes decides to let Katie and Eric in on how the exile works. Wes wants to keep Katie in the game because he knows she'll help him out further down the line. Wes hopes that by keeping Katie around, they can go after what he calls "the big dogs", meaning the top two teams. In this case, Coral/Evan and Theo/Chanda. I notice that Shane and Linette aren't targeted, but then that's just another feather in their cap. Katie is down with Wes' plan to shake up the game.
Later that night, Tina and Kenny learn about Wes secretly helping Katie and Eric and they are none too happy. Tina doesn't think anyone wants her and Kenny back, but says if they do come back from exile, Wes is going to get it. Kenny takes a more laid back approach, equating himself and Tina to "the fat kids in dodgeball", meaning no one wants them around.
A text message arrives alerting everyone to their next challenge. Wes is worried about the possibility of Tina and Kenny winning the pardon because he knows they'll put him into exile.
The competitors arrive at the site of their next challenge, "Human Ox Pull". They will break into 2 groups of 4 teams. The two groups will race each other and pull a sled with hay on it, totaling 850 pounds for 100 meters. For the group that finishes first, each of the 4 teams will then compete in a second leg. This time they go back to their original two person teams and pull a 350 pound sled. The first duo to cross the finish line wins.
In order to decide who is on what group, the top two finishers in the last challenge will be the team captains and they will take turns choosing other teams. The top two finishers in the last challenge were Shane/Linette and Theo/Chanda. Here's how it stacks up:
Shane/Linette's Group-
Coral and Evan
Katie and Eric
Derrick and Diem
Theo/Chanda's Group-
Darrell and Aviv
Tina and Kenny
Wes and Casey
Chanda thinks they have a stronger team because their girls are stronger. Evan is worried about what such a difficult challenge will do to him. However, he doesn't want to let anyone down just because he's hurting. Eric is psyched because he thinks he is made for this challenge. He wants to win the first heat because he knows that if your group doesn't win, you're out.
TJ sounds the horn and both groups are off.....
