Real World - Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat
It's Target Training Time

After Shane and Linette were taken out of the game, the remaining "stronger teams" (Theo/Chanda and Darrell/Aviv) began to worry about their place in the competition. A free diving competition led Derrick and Diem to their third straight victory. In a previous competition, Derrick convinced Diem to nominate her friends Shane and Linette for exile and this time Diem convinced Derrick to nominate Theo and Chanda. In the vote, Wes/Casey and Tina/Kenny voted Darrell and Aviv into exile. Will one of these teams win the pardon? Who will be sent home this week? Find out now.
At the house, Theo and Chanda are sitting around talking and Theo mentions the fact that he's never been to a gauntlet or anything. His spotless record could end tonight. In a weird way, he's excited because he wants to see what he can do. Meanwhile, Derrick feels horrible about putting Theo and Chanda in exile. A phone chimes in with a clue about their next challenge and Aviv is nervous about going against such a strong team in exile. She hopes she and Darrell can win the pardon even though no team has done it yet this season.
The next day, TJ welcomes the teams to the "Target Training" challenge. It involves two identical obstacle courses with the usual regime (climbing over a wall, running through tires, etc) and at the end; the teams must use a paintball gun to shoot out 4 targets. Once they've done that, they must grab an idol that weighs about 70 lbs. and transport it back through the course. The team that finishes fastest wins. Derrick and Diem decide the play order and the challenge begins.
Theo/Chanda and Wes/Casey are first and Casey hopes Theo and Chanda trip or something. Wes remembers that Casey had a really tough time getting through the obstacle course in her pre-season trials and knows he has to help her out. Both teams start and as expected, Casey is struggling a lot while Theo and Chanda are having no problems racing through. Theo and Chanda do hit a snag when they have problems getting their idol over a wall and they wonder if this could cost them the pardon. Both teams are able to finish.
Darrell/Aviv and Derrick/Diem are next. Both teams go and Derrick and Diem struggle while Darrell and Aviv blaze through the course. Both teams are also able to finish and it looks as though Darrell and Aviv could win the pardon. Because there are an odd number of teams left, Tina and Kenny go last by themselves. They have no troubles getting through the course and Kenny manages to shoot all the targets in quick fashion. Darrell and Aviv are noticing how quickly Tina and Kenny are getting through this challenge and they're nervous that the times will be really close. After the challenge, it is revealed that Kenny cut up his nose when he dove under the ropes in the obstacle course. Ouch. Here's how everyone did:
1.Darrell and Aviv- 2:45
2.Tina and Kenny- 2:59
3.Derrick and Diem- 3:32
4.Theo and Chanda- 3:32
5.Wes and Casey- 4:35
So for the first time this whole season, one of the exiled teams wins a pardon. Darrell and Aviv get their second victory this season and now must decide who will replace them in exile against Theo and Chanda. They choose Tina and Kenny and the exiled teams get a chance to say goodbye before going to their doom. Theo and Chanda aren't nervous about going against Tina and Kenny, Tina and Kenny ARE nervous about going against Theo and Chanda, and Derrick is nervous that Theo and Chanda will come back and exact revenge.
TJ explains how the exile works and the two teams are taken to the starting line. Tina and Kenny throw their bags on and race off. Tina and Kenny have the early lead and they reach the first puzzle station. Tina is able to solve the puzzle and this allows them to drop their bags. They grab their flag and run off, feeling confident about their position. Theo and Chand also attempt the puzzle station and though they do solve it, they are not as quick on the draw as Tina was.
Tina and Kenny have already approached the second puzzle station and after fumbling with it a bit, they decide to just cut their losses and run while they're still ahead. However, as they are running for the finish line, they realize they have forgotten the second flag and must go back to get it. Tina decides to give the second puzzle another shot and Theo and Chanda finally appear from behind the brush.
Cutting back to the house, the teams sit around and talk about who they want to see come back. The van drives up, but no one comes out so Wes goes to see who it is. The team that won was hiding in the back and it is Tina and Kenny! Obviously this is a good thing for Derrick, Diem, Wes, and Casey and a big shock for everyone. A clip of the exile reveals that a last second decision by Kenny helped them successfully complete the second puzzle and drive themselves to the finish line, a feat they accomplish long before Theo and Chanda. This means Tina and Kenny are the winners and Theo and Chanda must go home. Diem delivers the news that Tina and Kenny won to Derrick and he's glad.
Next week on Fresh Meat: A weird challenge involves the teams hanging onto a fake croc while it spins on some rotisserie thing. Tina and Diem clash. See ya there.
