This week was business as usual on the Real World/Road Rules Fresh Meat Challenge. Tonya was fuming over her being voted into exile and wants badly to get revenge on Tina.
On a lighter note, Linette and Theo find themselves spending time together. The challenge this week involved inflating, rowing, and deflating a kayak. Shane and Linette won, which meant Tonya and Johnnie and Wesand Casey would be going to exile.
Tonya was confident, until she found out that she and Johnnie would be carrying an amount of weight equal to their luggage and it was all downhill from there.
Wes and Casey won their fourth exile and with Tonya gone, Tina is really feeling the pressure. Will she and Kenny finally get sent to exile? What about the other teams, knowing Wes and Casey are undefeated? Tune in next week.
Coral & Evan
Current Ranking: 1 - Previous Ranking: 1
Coral and Evan continue to be on top of the world. However, next week it looks like Evan's hernia will give him more trouble. How will he and Coral cope? This is the only thing I could see preventing them from going to the final 4 so we'll see....
Linette & Shane
Current Ranking: 2 - Previous Ranking: 4
If Darrell and Aviv bounced back in a big way, Shane and Linette bounced back in a mega way. After failing to complete the last challenge, they won this one, even though they had to go first! That's the kind of pedigree that will get them into the final 4. With a new relationship blooming with Theo, Linette could find some new energy which will do nothing, but help she and Shane. The future continues to look bright for these two.
Chanda & Theo
Current Ranking: 3 - Previous Ranking: 2
Theo and Chanda didn't contend for the win, but they had a solid showing in this week's challenge. Nothing to scream about. A relationship with Linette has sprung up for Theo, but I don't think it will have an adverse effect on his performance.
Aviv & Darrell
Current Ranking: 4 - Previous Ranking: 6
Darrell and Aviv bounced back in a big way. They came in second place in the challenge and only lost by 4 seconds. That's the Darrell and Aviv I know and they finally contended for a win.
Diem & Derrick
Current Ranking: 5 - Previous Ranking: 3
Derrick and Diem continue to finish somewhere in the middle in each challenge. I'm surprised because Derrick is usually a star competitor, but he has yet to really shine in this challenge.
Casey & Wes
Current Ranking: 6 - Previous Ranking: 8
We all know Wes and Casey are the easiest target, so I fully expect them to be in just about every exile. The reason I've moved them up is that out of 4 exiles, Wes and Casey have won every single one. If they make it to the final 4, this will be how. Since they know the ins and outs of the exile, they have an edge, but any of the other teams (except Katie and Eric) could still give them a run for their money.
Tina & Kenny
Current Ranking: 7 - Previous Ranking: 7
With Tonya gone, Tina and Kenny have nowhere to hide. Unless they can kick some ass in the challenges, they will be targeted. I've ranked them higher than Katie and Eric because Katie and Eric could be targeted just as easily, but Tina and Kenny could actually have a shot in exile whereas I don't think Katie and Eric have any kind of chance.
Katie & Eric
Current Ranking: 8 - Previous Ranking: 5
Eric really got on my nerves this week. He was laughing and joking around so hard when he heard Linette talking about taking things slow with Theo. Then, he makes matters more difficult in the rowing challenge by laying back like he was about to take a nap. Even Katie was fed up with him and next week looks disastrous for the pair. They could go into exile if things end up as bad as they seem and there is no way they could beat any other team there.
Tonya & Johnnie
Eliminated: Episode 7
Tonya and Johnnie didn't deserve to go out so soon, but their elimination was inevitable. Tonya is simply not a very popular person among Real World/Road Rules alumnus. What surprised me was that she was the one fighting tooth and nail and Johnnie was the one whining about the work load. You'd think it'd be the other way around, but nope. They are eliminated and I don't know why Tonya keeps putting herself through this.
Johanna & Jesse
Elminated: Episode 5
Johanna and Jesse actually had a good run in this week's challenge, but it wasn't enough to save them from exile. A blunder on Wes and Casey's part (forgetting a flag) gave Johanna and Jesse the lead, but an even bigger blunder on their part (forgetting BOTH flags) squashed their chance of returning to the game. They are eliminated.
Melinda & Ryan
Eliminated Episode 3
Melinda had a defeatist attitude through the whole episode. In the beginning of this week's episode, she was heard calling Danny and admitting she didn't have much interest in being here without him. Since they didn't win the next challenge, they went into exile and even though they solved a puzzle and dropped their bags, it seemed like they wouldn't win. From the start, Melinda was struggling just to keep up. Forgetting to take the first flag only sealed their fate.
Ev & Danny
Eliminated: Episode 1
Everyone, including the Fresh Meat, knew that the Austin castmates would be immediately targeted and Danny's ouster was the veterans' plan in action. They were blindsided after Tonya revealed to the others that Wes tried to orchestrate a plan to vote out Shane & Linette. When the votes came out, despite an opportunity to switch things up, Danny & Ev were voted into exile and lost against Wes & Casey. I'm not sad to see Ev go because she took on a very superior and offputting attitude from the start, but I'm sad to see Danny go in such a manner.
