How To Get The Guy: A Needle In A Haystack Full Of BLAH?

As the premier of How to Get the Guy opens we find ourselves in San Francisco and we are introduced to the four women that have sold their souls to reality TV in the hopes of finding the right guy. They have done this because as we all know, reality TV equals true love. I wouldn't call them desperate. Besides their names we also learn that the girls have each been coined with their own appropriate subtitle.
Anne (the girl next door) is described as everyone's favorite bridesmaid who doesn't know how to send out the right signals. She is currently unemployed.
Kris (the party girl) is a corporate litigator who loves going out and having a good time. She is guilty of always going out with the wrong guys.
Michelle (the career girl) is a trial lawyer who knows exactly what she is after but perhaps she is so picky that she is not giving love a fair chance.
Alissa (the dreamer) is a spiritual massage therapist who is described as being open minded but who has trouble dating guys who are outside of her comfort zone. I must admit that last one didn't make much sense to me as it seemed to be a contradiction of terms.
We are also introduced to the two life coaches that will assist the ladies in snagging Mr. Right.
JD is a relationship expert who has already found the woman of his dreams and hopes to help with a guy's point of view.
Teresa is a relationship columnist who has also successfully found love. Together, they will guide the girls through their new adventure and hope to aid them in finally finding their perfect companion.
The coaches take a scenic walk as they discuss the four women and the work that they have ahead of them. They basically recap what we have already learned about the girls and they comment that Kris has trouble finding a stable relationship and that Michelle is seeking perfection.
The women meet their coaches at the 49'ers stadium, Monster Park and they share their gripes. Such as men who are unwilling to commit and the fact that there are far too many women in San Francisco, which leaves men to play the field.
The women are told that they are going to go on tons of dates and are asked to pledge their dedication on the San Francisco phone book. They all come together for a team cheer for true love. How cute.
Anne gets some pointers from the coaches on how to flirt appropriately in order to get guys to talk to her. Michelle admits that she gets pretty nervous when it comes to socializing with men. They remind her to give good eye contact (at least four seconds), to smile, and to get in their personal space.
They take her out to a book store to practice the three handy steps that they have armed her with. She does a good job of getting in a guy's personal space as she reads a magazine while practically elbowing him. He simply walks away and she laughs. She seems to be a good sport about it.
She asks another guy for the time and he gives it to her.
The men are probably wondering.....
