Pirate Master - Captain Louie's Lust For Revenge
Episode 4 Recap by Jenny Lane
June 22, 2007
Last week on Pirate Master, the remaining pirates continued their quest for hidden treasure. J.D. continued as captain, but had little popularity among the crew. The race to the treasure began after everyone divided into the red and black teams, with J.D. and his officers on the black team. The red team won the challenge and J.D. was dethroned from his Captain's chair. The red team elected Azmyth as their Captain, and he immediately donned the Captain's hat and a fake semi-British accent, and then chose Jupiter and Jay as officers. Azmyth's first act as Captain was to redistribute the treasure so that everyone got an equal portion. When it came time to mark three for elimination, the black spots went to Alexis, Laurel and Cheryl. After the crew voted, it was a tie between Alexis and Cheryl. Azmyth was left to break the tie, and he cast Alexis adrift.

Tonight's episode opens after Alexis' elimination. With the tie vote, Cheryl realizes that she needs to step up her game if she wants to stick around. Jay is irritated with Sean, because he had the impression that Sean was going to help him vote Cheryl out. Sean realizes that he has to explain himself, and apologizes to Jay for "hanging him out to dry." He promises that he won't go back on his word again, but Jay tells us that he doesn't trust Sean anymore.

The next morning, the crew goes about their chores, while Azmyth watches on as captain. Nessa has a water fight with Sean, and admits that she's a flirt. Two of the other girls watch with disapproval of the fact that her pants are now see-through. (Maybe they're just upset that they didn't think of it first!)

Ben tells us that he doesn't completely approve of Azmyth's easygoing leadership style. Jupiter and Laurel ask Azmyth what he's got planned, and he says that he first has to "have a talk with God" in that fake accent of his.

The fake accent is bizarre, and makes me think that Azmyth isn't quite all there.

The ship drops anchor, and host Cameron gathers everyone on deck. They open the chest to reveal the next maps. This time they're from the ship's master craftsman, who loved to catch his own reflection.

Azmyth, Jupiter and Jay are on the black crew, and the rest will be randomly divided between the black and red crews.

Here's how the teams look:

Black crew: Azmyth, Jupiter, Jay, J.D., Laurel, Christa, and Cheryl

Red crew: Louie, Ben, Joy, Kendra, Nessa, and Sean

The black crew looks much stronger than the red crew. They have one more person to start with, and the red crew has several of the girls. The crews head to the longboats and head out in search of the treasure.

The pirates will row towards the shore and reach the anchor on the beach. Then they will find a trail leading into the jungle. The first crew to reach the sabotage point on the trail can use it to slow the other crew down. Then they need to locate the croc's head landmark, where they will find their next crew.

Both teams are pretty even reaching the shore, but the black crew is a little bit behind as they run through the jungle. Before long, the black crew is able to overtake the red crew and get into first place. They reach the sabotage point first, and release the obstacle (a bunch of coconuts go rolling down a small hill) seconds before the red team arrives. The black crew runs ahead while the red crew navigates the coconut pile.

The black crew gets to the croc's head landmark, and finds a small box containing the next clue. They need to head to a nearby canyon cave, where their map fits in a slot. Then the location to the treasure will be revealed on the map. The black crew heads off in search of the cave, as the red crew opens their box and clue.

The black crew locates the canyon cave. Inside, there is a frame hanging on the wall. When Azmyth puts the map in the frame, a small beam of light shines on the map to reveal the location of the treasure. They race off to find the treasure, and the red team makes their way to the cave. Joy is having a hard time hiking, which slows their team down.

Azmyth reaches the beach.....
