Road Rules Viewer's Revenge: The Ultimate Road Adventure Is Back
Episode 1 Recap by Logan Huffman
February 5, 2007
Welcome to the season premiere of 'Road Rules: Viewers' Revenge'! We begin the episode with Susie from 'Road Rules 6' telling us that 'Road Rules has been gone for a while, but they are now bringing it back, and she feels like the luckiest girl in the world. Abe tells us that he was only on 'Road Rules 11' for 10 days, and then got kicked off of the show for getting into a fight, but it was still one of the most memorable experiences of his entire life. Kina from 'Road Rules 12' (yes, she's back again!) tells us that it is so exciting to do this experience again, as she knows more now.
As the RV heads out through Malibu and the cast members await the RV, Abe calls first shift up in the cab, telling the others they can ride in the back. Veronica from 'Road Rules 8' tells us that on her season, she never really lived in an RV on her season, and she is used to having filet mignon and sushi, so it is going to be a little challenging for her. Shane tells Veronica that he lives in city, so he doesn't drive. She points out that he is from Raleigh, North Carolina, mispronouncing the state capital of my home state. Shane tells her to shut up, saying that he is just a bad driver. Shane from 'Road Rules 11' tells us that the only thing he has ever regretted is when he didn't say something, and wished he had. Shane adds that he has gotten to the point where he isn't really concerned about getting along with the gang on the RV. Adam from 'Road Rules 10' tells us that before, he was obnoxious and had a lot of fun at other people's expense, but this time, that is gone, and he is ready to get on the road.
As Adam sees the RV coming over the hill, he points it out to the others, who all cheer in excitement. Abe says that it has been a while, as host and "Roadmaster" Drew steps out of the RV. He welcomes them to 'Road Rules' and introduces himself. He tells them that the ultimate road adventure is back, and survival is the name of the game. The stakes are high, as each mission is worth $10,000 towards their handsome reward. Drew adds that the more mission they win, the more cash they will find at the end of the journey. But, of course, only those who make it to the end will get some of the cash. So, they will have to do everything they can to retain their spot on the RV.
But, Drew says, this season of 'Road Rules' isn't going to be so easy. This season is different. This time, the viewers have the final word, not them. Each week, the players will have to nominate one male and one female Road Ruler to go to the elimination round. The viewers will then log on and vote, and whichever Road Ruler is chosen by the viewers will face off against a member from the Pit Crew, also chosen by the viewers.
Drew tells them that the Pit Crew members desperately want their spots, and he brings out the Pit Crew. Ivory tells us that as she was walking up, she was really impressed, as she knows she will claim her spot on the RV. Tori tells us that as she walked up, Adam said that he was still practicing his pageant wave, and she thinks he should keep practicing, as hers is still cuter. Dan says that they will all get an ego check, and they can keep running their mouths, but it comes down to strength, and they will see what happens.
Drew introduces the Road Rulers to the Pit Crew, saying that they are working really hard to get the viewers to send them into the elimination arena to challenge them, and take their spot on the RV. Drew explains that whoever wins the elimination round is going on the RV, while the other person is going into the Pit Crew. The only way to return to the RV is to get the viewers to send them back into the elimination arena, and for them to win a challenge. Drew adds that if they lose two missions, then the stakes are doubled, and four Road Rulers must be nominated to go to the elimination arena, known as the Pit.
Drew tells them that if they can survive to the end of the missions, they won't just receive the cash, but also a 2007 Mazda-3. Everyone is excited, with David telling us that the money is one thing, but the car really turned him on, as he drives a 1992 piece of crap. Angel tells us that the Mazda is so cute, and she would look so cute driving in it, with her hair blowing in the wind. Please, I beg you all; do not vote her on the RV!
Drew tells them that the RV is waiting, with tons of cool things on there, including a Wendy's gift card. The players run towards the RV as Drew tells them that he will see them at their first mission.
Once they get into the RV, they are excited, as it is very cool inside. One female player says that it is their home sweet home, while another says that it is very cute. Abe says that it is nicer than his apartment.
Abe yells out "Bye, bitches!" at the Pit Crew, as Jerry tells us that the Road Rulers were excited about the RV, and they should be, as it will probably be the last time that they are all together. Kristen says that while they are a pretty group of people, they won't be staying long. Monte tells us that if we put him on the RV, he'll show us what a skinny boy can do, adding that he may not be big, but he has the brains, and he will get on their and shut them down.
As the RV pulls away, Susie says.....
