Road Rules Viewer's Revenge: Abe Gets Kicked Off Again
Episode 2 Recap by Logan Huffman
February 12, 2007
Previously on 'Road Rules', our six veterans boarded the RV and took off on their road adventure. The group successfully completed their first challenge, which involved bungee jumping in a car. After the mission, the guys and girls each had to nominate someone of the opposite sex to go to The Pit. Although they battled the decision, the group felt threatened by Shane and Veronica's bond, nominating both of them for elimination.

This episode begins right where the last episode left off, with the four remaining players driving down the road in the RV. Abe assumes that Susie doesn't want Veronica to come back, and Susie responds that she doesn't think Veronica's heart was in it. Susie tells us that she, Kina, Adam, and Abe are about to pick up the two players who will be coming onto the RV, and her heart is a little bit anxious. Kina says that it is nerve racking, as you know that the game could possibly change depending on who you pick up. Abe says that he told the others this would happen, saying that if a new person comes on the RV, it would be between the four of them, and no one will volunteer to go to The Pit. Susie says that he doesn't know that. Abe says that he doesn't really care who they pick up, as he survived the first week, and he is taking it week by week. Kina asks Susie and Adam if they want to strangle Abe right now, and Susie responds that she wants Kina to strangle Abe. Abe laughs, saying that he strangles back, motherf**kers. How…violent.

As Tori and Shane await the RV, Shane says that he is waiting for the RV to pick him up, and he doesn't give a f**k what the mission is, because his ass will clearly be booted off by the group again. Shane asks aloud where the f**king RV is, and Tori asks him what it looks like. Shane says that it is filled with a bunch of sh*theads, and that is all he remembers. Tori is laughing, as Tori tells us that she definitely has her work cut out for her going onto the RV, as they already have alliances, strategies, and plans, and she is going to have to go in there and prove herself.

As the RV comes around the corner, Kina wonders who it is, saying that she spots a pretty little brunette. The group on the RV seem excited, although I know that Kina must have been disappointed that Ivory wasn't waiting to board the RV. As the RV pulls over to pick up Tori and Shane, Adam helps her load her luggage into the RV, asking her if she brought her pageant crown. She responds that she did.

With Shane and Tori aboard, the RV hits the road again, with Tori telling us she never thought she would be the first one on the RV in a million years, but she is, and hopefully, the veterans will help her out, and help her along with the first mission. Adam says that she is cute 20 year old, and he can't think of anyone better to replace Veronica than a little Southern girl like Tori.

Susie and Kina start clapping, as the phone rings with a message, and Tori gets to read her first clue, which says: So you guys think you're pretty swift, well just wait until your next mission begins. Meet at the jetty in Carlsbad, California at 11:25 AM. Adam is predicting white-water rafting, but Kina thinks the swift has something to do with running. Tori tells us that she is overwhelmed, as she can't believe she is about to compete in a mission, and she is scared to death right now, as she has no idea what she is about to do.

The group arrives at the jetty, as Roadmaster Drew greets them all. Drew tells them that their mission today is called 'Swift Water Rescue', telling them that they will have to successfully complete an actual rescue. Drew introduces Sergeant Keach of the San Diego Swift Water Rescue Team, and he will be helping them with their training, as Drew wishes them luck on their mission.

Sergeant Keach tells them that they will be working on their swift water training today, and they all know that lifeguards work on the beach, and they make rescues on surf, but a very select few on them, actually make rescues in swift water. He tells the group that they will learn a variety of different skills and techniques, including learning how to rescue someone else, adding that not only is the water cold, but it is also moving, and since the surf is coming in, it will get progressively more and more dangerous. Abe tells us that this is probably a lot more dangerous than many of the other mission, as the bungee is a much more controlled environment, and this is a lot more variables, adding that it is very real, and they could drown from this.

Susie tells us that for this particular life saving technique, she has to jump in the water, attach herself to the victim, and then be pulled to shore. Susie jumps in towards the victim, successfully holding on to him until they are pulled to shore. Adam says that when you are sitting on these slippery rocks with water rushing towards you, it is going to be wet, and things will be hard, but this is 'Road Rules'. Instructor Ned demonstrates another technique, which involves grabbing hold of this rope in the water in order to be rescued. Shane tells us that they are on their last phase of training, and they have to get this right, as there is a lot at stake tomorrow.

For the last training technique.....
