Let's Just Call It Real World Svetlana

On The Real World...Is this entire season revolving around Svetlana? You be the judge. Svetlana is a little down because her boyfriend Martin is behaving like an ass. John has come to the conclusion that the more negative vibes he gets from Svetlana about her relationship with Martin, the more he has a chance.
Martin calls and Svetlana's tone changes in a matter of seconds. "Svetlana is too independent on her boyfriend". John, you're a college student. Don't you mean dependent? You weren't even under the influence John. What's the deal?
Meanwhile, Tyler and John agree that Svetlana's actions and comments contradicts that she has someone in her life. I'd have to agree. But doesn't everyone who comes on the Real World do the same thing? It's the norm. Deal with it.
At the local bar, Zach finds himself a little friend. Her name is Crystal. She's cute. Her boyfriend broke up with her recently so Zach might actually have a chance...unless he's just the "transition guy".
Back at the house, Tyler and John toast to the anticipated end of Svetlana's relationship with Martin. In Svetlana's confessional, she said that she's use to guys dogging her boyfriend she knows they want to F***k her. I guess.
Later, Svetlana and Paula talk about the dysfunctional relationship she has with Martin. I couldn't quite make out what she was saying exactly, but it sounds like Svetlana's face may have met Martin's fist a few times. NOT COOL!
Zach invites Crystal over to the house to hang out and Svetlana is totally against it. Zach things that Svetlana is jealous that he's having other girls over to the house. Svetlana says that she's very protective of her roommates and doesn't want anyone to get hurt. Huh?
Let me digress just a little. Does anyone think that Zach is way too hairy? I can see that your heritage or DNA, whatever, provided you with huge hair. But dang Zach, at least get the facial hair under some sort of control. Sorry... I had to get that off my chest.
Svetlana gets into an argument with Martin about the decision of her coming out to Key West. Apparently, it was Martin's great idea for Svetlana to do the Real World. That way they can see what their relationship is really made of under these circumstances. Ummm, don't be fooled Svetlana. That's code for I need my girlfriend to go somewhere for at least 4 months so I can screw around. Then she called Martin about him hitting her, of course that opened up a whole new can of worms because they were already having a very explosive conversation.
Later, Tyler suggests that Svetlana should be single for a while. "I'm so irritated by your relationship and yet I don't even care". Tyler is there anything you like about Svetlana?
"I want to break up with Martin, but..." What's the problem Svetlana? First of all you're only 19 years old. You should be dating around, not stuck in a relationship that already appears to be physically and mentally abusive.
At the local bar, the roommates shake it up. Svetlana shakes it up more than anybody else of course. What is it about dancing on top of bar tables? "I've never really gone to clubs and done what I've wanted to do". Clearly! Didn't I say that this season may be revolving around Svetlana? I rest my case.
Later, John admits that there's a mutual attraction between him and Svetlana. But during a very in-depth conversation they have in the kitchen, I think he might be changing his mind. Svetlana has way deeper issues to deal with. Turns out that she was raped by her first boyfriend and now she's looking for someone to protect her. Martin obviously isn't doing that for her, which is why they relate to each other they way they do. Martin knew about the rape, but the individual got away with the cowardess crime. In Svetlana's mind, her boyfriend should avenge her.
John now sees Svetlana has his little sister and wants to help her through this situation. Wow. He's got his hands full. First Paula... now Svetlana.
