Last week on Survivor Panama: Exile Island Sally was sent home leaving only Terry left to carry the La Mina torch. It was so sad to see someone like Sally go when they were others who should have gone. Courtney and Shane come to mind. I can only hope that this week the game will wake up and some of these people will be sent home. Either way from the previews it looks like this week will be exciting one way or another.
We start off night with Terry. He is upset that Sally is gone and now he is stuck with the merry band of idiots that call them Casaya. I don't even know why they changed their name to Gitanos. They never use it. This tribe is Casaya plus Terry and he knows it. You can just tell he would rather be any place else and not surprisingly he does not want to talk to any of the others. Shane on the other hand can't shut up. He is excited by how the game is playing out. He tells Danielle he is getting very excited by the idea that they might be the first team ever to make it to the end all together. Either Shane doesn't watch much Survivor or missed the first season when all Richard and his tribe made it to the final five. They brought five into the merge and all five made it to the end.
I am not really sure what happened next but we see Shane cracking a coconut, some birds flying overhead and then all of the sudden something falls into the beans. I think Shane knocked something into the pot but either way Courtney has a small meltdown and yells at Danielle who tells Courtney to chill out and Courtney apologizes for yelling.
I think that happens a lot at Casaya, someone losing it and then having to apologize. While Courtney calms down, Bruce joins the hysteria. He tells everyone he is still not feeling well. He tells all he is constipated and bloated and his stomach really hurts. He thinks he might be a little blocked up. Shane tells him he needs to go poop and Bruce just looks at him. Do you ever feel that everyone just wants to tell Shane to jump in a lake?
Later in the day the group heads out to check tree mail and find large boxes with their names and a note. They note informs them that in each box there is a doll and they must make that doll look like them. Everyone opens their box and gets their dolls. Back at camp everyone uses the supplies to create a doll that looks like them. To be honest the only one that looked close was Cirie. I liked how she added breasts to her doll. At least she knows how well endowed she is and makes sure her doll is the same way. Once the dolls are finished the group heads off for the challenge.
Everyone arrives at the challenge and is greeted by Jeff. He explains to all that this challenge will test how well you know the other people in your tribe. Each person will be given a questionnaire. They will go off and privately answer the questions. Once everyone is finished Jeff will tally the answers. The group must then answer the questions again but they must base their answer on how they feel the tribe voted. Every time they get one right they will get to take a chop. Each person has three ropes attached to three torches. Each time a rope is cut another torch is lit. Once their final rope is cut the torch will set their doll on fire. The last person left wins reward, which is an overnight stay at a spa where they will get to take a shower, eat, get a massage, and wash their clothes. Jeff hands out the questionnaires and everyone fills them out. When all the votes are tallied the real fun begins.
If you are new to Survivor, this is something they do every season. It is a way to show the pecking order in a way. Most times the first person out is usually one of the next people to be voted out. It is really no different this time. The first question this time is who does the least around tribe? The correct answer was Danielle and Cirie, Aras, Terry, and Shane. Cirie, Aras, and Shane all hit Terry and he is quickly out. Terry does get one hit and he uses it on Aras. Of course Terry is not happy but he isn't surprised. The next question is: Who never shuts? The answer is Courtney and only Shane and Cirie get it right.
