Report by Ron Lemon
March 8, 2007
Alex Angarita is a member of the ever-winning Moto Tribe on this season's Survivor.
Alex wishing he was back in Fiji?
Although he has not been a major factor in the game or the show, he is still in it and could win it. And if he wins it he is going to be spending some of his winnings trying to stay out of jail.
Alex, who is a 28 year old lawyer hosted a Survivor Fiji party the night the first episode aired. During the party he and his girl-friend allegedly got into an argument that got out of hand. A 911 call was made and the Police arrived.
Yesterday Angarita appeared in court to answer charges that he attacked two Los Angeles police officers who were responding to the 911 call.
According to the official complaint he is accused of threat and violence against the police officers. The charges include two felony counts of resisting arrest, one felony count of battery with injury on a peace officer and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana.
He spent three hours in jail before posting $20,000.00 bail.
That's some serious stuff.
