Episode 2 Recap by AP N Tenn

Tonight on Treasure Hunters, one team has been sent home based on one unlucky error. Will tonight's losers be based on an unlucky move or will they just run out of time?
In South Dakota, the teams are gathered at a camp, complete with food and wine. At 2:20 AM a clue arrives. Early in the wee hours of the morning, the teams will follow in the steps of Lewis and Clark. They must drive 620 miles. There are Toyota Tundras available for each team. Each team must find their vehicle based on the key's alarm system. The Wild Hanlons stroll leisurely out of the house as if it is not a race.
Team Miss USA takes an early lead; Team Air Force is a close 2nd. Last place is the Wild Hanlons who spend a lot of time driving and cursing at one another. In the show, I did not realize that the Wild Hanlons were related, they comprise a pair of brothers and a son.
After a long 9 hour drive, the teams arrive in Montana- the 1st place team is Air Force. Team Miss USA has slipped to 2nd. To get to the next clue, the teams must go underground into a cave; they may elect to leave one member behind due to the cramped space. The teams of Miss USA, Air force and Fogal Family all start off first and look all around for the clues with no clear way to go. At a bucket of snakes, there is writing on the bucket, and the teams guess that it is a clue. Inside the bucket is a silver orb. All of the teams continue to go on in separate ways.
One of the Air Force guys figures out to pour water onto the orb, and magically a clue appears. They move quickly before the others can figure it out. Teams Geniuses, Grad Students, and Ex CIA begin to arrive. Finally the Fogal Family figure out the clue, somehow Team Miss USA makes it to the bucket and finds the clue. The next group of teams all stick together to find the clue. Team Southie boys, Wild Hanlons, and the Browns arrive at the same time and make up the last teams in the cave. Team Brown family are 1st to read the clue while Team Southie Boys are trying to chisel in the cave, clearly they are off base. The Wild Hanlons are in a wild goose chase as well, with no clue as to where to go or what to do. From my couch, I am clueless too, is it just me, or is this game of figuring out the clues hard?
The Ex CIA arrive 1st at the campsite, but arrive too late to continue on to the next clue until dawn. The teams cook steak on the grill, this is certainly no Survivor-like conditions, one of the Southie Boys decides to streak into the lake near the campsite. We see that the Wild Hanlons are still in the mines, and they have been there for 11 hours. How crazy is that? Surely after maybe the 5th hour, the producers or cameramen would point them in the right direction, just so they can take a break. Clearly the clues are too hard, if it takes two people 11 hours to figure it out.
Back at the camp, the other teams are jovial that they made it, and are probably secretly wishing that the Wild Hanlons would stay lost forever. Finally we see the Wild Hanlons discover the clue, and arrive at the camp at 3:30 AM. Only 2.5 hours later, the other teams are up and getting on to find the next clue.
The teams head off in canoes. Air Force is first out, followed by team CIA, Fogal Family in third place, bringing up the rear is Team Brown, they are slow going, and for some insane reason, they have put the biggest Brown brother in the middle of the canoe, sure I might not be able to figure out a clue in a bucket, but from my couch, I can tell that when in a canoe, you shouldn't put the biggest person in the middle, no sooner than this thought is in my head, the boat turns over and they all fall out. One of the Brown brothers cannot swim, so he is fearful of drowning, so they head to the shore to give the bigger brother a pep talk about continuing on in this race for an unknown amount of treasure. So after the bigger brother is assured that they must continue, they start out. Again they slap the bigger brother in the middle, surely they are nuts. Anyway while they have had this pep talk, and undoubtedly flipped over a few more times, Team Wild Hanlons have passed them up in the water. Are the Wild Hanlons just extremely lucky, or is the Brown family just extremely unlucky?
Team Grad students drag and push their canoe.....
