American Idol: Think Adam Has It Won? Think Again!

Last night on American Idol, Danny Gokey was sent home. American made the right choice, but I didn't think we would.
In fact I predicted that Kris would end his Idol journey. I just didn't think he had enough fans to make the final. I was wrong. Really big time wrong.
Last night Ryan told us that over 88 million votes were cast. But much more stunning than the total number was the fact that less than one million votes separated the top two.
That's less than one million votes separating Adam and Kris. What? I dropped my pizza when I heard that.
Let's do a little math. For the purpose of this we'll assign a random number of votes to Danny, the actual number he received is not that important. We'll say he got 20 million votes.
That leaves 68 million votes split between Adam and Kris with less than a million separating them. We'll call it 34.5 million for Adam and 33.5 million for Kris. Although it could have been the other way around.
The question you have to ask is where do you think Danny's 20 million votes will go with him out of the competition. Of course some will go to Adam and some will go to Kris.
But how many to each?
I'm betting Danny fans are more likely to respond to and support Kris than Adam. Yeah, think about it.
Using the numbers above, if 56% of Danny's votes go to Kris and 44% go to Adam, then Kris is our next American Idol. That seems very possible to me.
If you think Adam has this all wrapped up, like I have thought since the top 13, then you, and I, may just be wrong.
