American Idol Carrie Underwood Changes Her Story, Both Of Them October 30, 2008
Carrie Underwood has apologized about her comments on ex-boyfriend Tony Romo keeping in touch. The American Idol star previously claimed that Romo still called her despite their breakup and his relationship with Jessica Simpson.
Underwood tells the December issue of Elle magazine that she hasn’t talked to the Dallas Cowboys quarterback since May and can understand if Simpson is upset over her previous comments.
"I haven't talked to him since, like, May," Underwood, 25, tells Elle. "It was just something that was said in passing. I would never mean to say anything to hurt anybody or to stir up anything because I'm just not about drama – at all."
"I might be mad too if somebody said my boyfriend was calling some other girl. So I can definitely see where [she] would be coming from," she added.
As for rumors that she is currently dating former ‘Bachelor’ Travis Stork, Underwood says she will neither confirm nor deny the reports. “If I say I am [dating someone] or I’m not, as soon as this magazine comes out, it might be opposite of what I tell you now. In three months, it’ll be ‘Carries said she’s not dating anybody,’ yet last night, I was out on the town with some guy. He’s going to get mad at me. Everybody’s going to think I’m a liar. It’s just best not to go there,” Underwood said.
