American Idol David Cook “I’m Still A Goober From The Midwest"

American Idol champ David Cook says that winning the show earlier this year hasn’t changes him.
The 25-year-old says that he is “still a goober from the Midwest” but admits that there are many perks that come with winning, including buying nice cars and treating his family.
“I think in one sense everything’s changed but in another sense nothing has. There’s all these different things around me that I didn’t have a year ago.
I was able to furnish a home and get a nice car and be able to treat me family to some of the things that I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to do,” Cook says. “I’m still a goober from the Midwest. Now I’ve got a few more resources. I don’t feel like the show changed me at all.”
Another perk – dating former Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell.
Meanwhile, Cook is set to release his self-titled debut album on November 18.
