Previously on America's Next Top Model:
The final six girls went to Rome, Italy as this season's foreign destination. After dodging troubles concerning her travel documents, Fatima then battled sickness. The girls took a tour of the city and were taught the finer points of Italian fashion. A meeting with designer Gai Mattiolo had the girls embodying Italian style as their challenge for the week and Anya won. Instead of a photo shoot, the girls filmed a CoverGirl commercial while speaking Italian. Though the judges thought Whitney's performance was fake and over-the-top, Lauren was eliminated when her personal presence still wasn't measuring up. Five girls are left and we only have three more weeks of competition. Who will be eliminated this week?

The girls head home after eliminations and Whitney notes that she was in the bottom two with Lauren. She remembers that the judges said she seemed fake in her commercial and she attributes that to her nerves. Whitney knows that she'll have to change that and discusses the matter with Anya. Fatima thinks she did really well in her commercial and when Dominique asks her who she thinks her competition is, Fatima feels she doesn't have any. Katarzyna knows that the judges are questioning her personality and Fatima says Kat is forgettable.

Tyra Mail arrives and the girls are alerted to a posing lesson. The next day, the girls head to some ancient ruins to find a staged battle going on between some people in gladiator costumes. I have $50 on the warrior lady. Sure enough, Miss Thang knocks out her competition. Anyway, fight instructor Alex Mariotti introduces himself and takes the girls through some fight poses. The girls then pair up for practice and Dominique battles Fatima. Dominique thinks Fatima has problems memorizing stuff she's supposed to learn and Fatima wants to show Dominique her aggressive side.
