America's Next Top Model Cycle 11: These Judges Aren't Blind
Rankings by Jacob D.
As of September 25, 2008
This week's episode of America's Next Top Model took things up a notch.

The girls had a slippery runway lesson when they practiced walking on some bowling lanes.

The girls then had a blind-folded runway challenge for fashion designer Jeremy Scott and Samantha caused controversy when she lifted her dress at the end of the runway, offending Jeremy.

The girls were surprised to learn that one of them would be eliminated from the competition after the challenge and Hannah was the unlucky victim.

The photo shoot saw the girls, "posing with their eyes," meaning they were shot from the nose up as they were submerged in the pool at their model house.

At judging panel, the judges felt Clark's photo was the strongest and she was called first by Tyra.

Isis and Samantha were left as the bottom two and though Samantha's performance at the runway judging was unacceptable, Isis was eliminated over her plateauing progress.

Here's my rankings...

Lauren Brie
Current Ranking: 1         Previous Ranking: 2

Pre-season, I didn't much care for Lauren. After the first week, I liked her, but wasn't excited. However, these last three weeks have turned things around for her to such a great extent. Her photos in weeks two and three were amazing and her photo this week was my favorite once again! Lauren takes some of the strongest pictures in the bunch and I am totally impressed! I'm not the only one because the judges continue to rave over her output in the competition. As of right now, I am rooting for her and hoping she goes a long, long way!
Elina
Current Ranking: 2         Previous Ranking: 1

Elina kind of deflated this week when she got stuck in the runway teachings and photo shoot and kind of stayed there. She still has problems with being too controlling over what she does and needs to break out of her shell. What keeps her ranked so highly on my scoreboard is her strong track record and the potential that I feel she still has.
Joslyn
Current Ranking: 3         Previous Ranking: 4

Joslyn seems to have some kind of magic hold over everyone she comes across. Her energetic personality helped her win the runway challenge, even though she was trying to hold back a little, and that saves her, even though her photo wasn't the best. Everyone she meets seems to fall in love with her, which is an easy way to get booked, and she has shown she can be a strong model both in photos and on the runway so she inches up a spot in my rankings.
Marjorie
Current Ranking: 4         Previous Ranking: 3

It seems Marjorie's personal presence is starting to be an issue. Hannah pointed out that she and Analeigh like to throw pity parties for themselves and next week's previews show Hannah isn't the only who has problems with the way Marjorie carries herself. However, for this week, Marjorie turned in another strong photo, though her runway work was stiff. She keeps a high ranking for now.
Sheena
Current Ranking: 5         Previous Ranking: 8

Sheena continues to improve. She stayed out of the judges crosshairs, as far as negative critiques, at the runway challenge and judging panel. She did a great job at the photo shoot, earning Nigel's praise, and turned in a stunning photo that was intense rather than soft, as Nigel said of her previous photos. I also loved the way she looked in judging panel. She looked like a beautiful young lady, rather than a trashy young harlot. I love Sheena and continue to root for her!
Clark
Current Ranking: 6         Previous Ranking: 9

I've been wondering what it is about Clark that I find so odd and I think I found it: she has Donald Trump's face! Maybe not exactly, but her face seems very pinched and puckered, especially when you consider her photo from last week.

Anyways, even though Clark is sometimes cocky and bitchy, I want to like her for some reason. I think she has the strongest personal presence of any of the remaining models and I feel drawn to her. After a bad first week and a couple sub-par weeks, her photo this time around was amazing and was deemed the strongest in the bunch by the judges. Clark's stock is rising and I feel she could be a threat in this competition.
McKey
Current Ranking: 7         Previous Ranking: 6

McKey continues to show potential. She has a beautiful look, did a good job at the runway challenge, and turned in a lovely photo. I don't feel like she's 100% there just yet, as far as being a top model, but she has what it takes.
Analeigh
Current Ranking: 8         Previous Ranking: 11

Analeigh switched into model mode this week and finally gave the judges what they were looking for. She turned in a strong performance at the runway challenge and a well-received photo at judging panel and earns the stamp of, "Most Improved," for the week. I didn't rank her higher because her track record isn't as strong as most of the other girls, but she's on the right path. Let's see if she keeps it up.
Samantha
Current Ranking: 9         Previous Ranking: 5
Oh dear. Samantha, despite being told not to by designer Jeremy Scott, lifted her dress during the runway challenge and that was almost bad enough to override her strong track record and send her home when Jeremy expressed how insulted he was at the sight as a guest in the judging panel. Samantha must be careful how she presents herself and how she is perceived by others.
Isis
5th Elimination
Hannah
4th Elimination
Brittany
3rd Elimination
Nkeysha
2nd Elimination
Sharaun
1st Elimination
