America's Next Top Model: Shanghaied For Wire Work

This week's episode of America's Next Top Model saw the girls working in China. Bianca voiced her frustrations with Heather again and Heather threw a fit over not getting a bed in the China suite.
For the challenge, the girls learned some martial arts poses at a movie studio and stuck them in the air, hoisted on wires. Bianca's fear of heights led her to drop out of the challenge and Heather went on to win.
The girls then participated in a commercial and photo shoot for the CoverGirl Queen Collection. Lisa and Heather flopped badly and landed in the bottom two at judging panel, though none of the girls impressed the judges this week.
In the end, Lisa was eliminated because of her mounting insecurities.
Five girls remain. Who will go home next week?

Jenah

Jenah is an 18 year old student from Farmington, CT.
Jenah finally moves into first place, but with a catch: a tie with Heather. It's not a typo. I have decided to rank both girls in first because I believe they are now on equal footing. Jenah did well at the challenge and though she stumbled through her commercial shoot, Mr. Jay found her believable and genuine. The judges, however, felt she lacked charm and had an unlikable air of entitlement about her. Were it not for her incredible photo and Heather doing worse than her, I believe she could've landed in the bottom two. For now, she is the only girl to never appear in the bottom two. I put her in the top spot because this is her first time there, but whether she stays here all by herself or drops back to second place depends on if she does better than Heather next week.

Heather

Heather is a 21 year old college student from Valparaiso, IN.
It's not a typo. There is a tie for first. It's no secret that I love Heather and it's no secret that I would love for her to win. However, my decision to leave her in first has nothing to do with bias. I just honestly believe that she and Jenah are now on equal footing. Heather won the challenge, but had a terrible commercial shoot. She turned in another stunningly amazing photo, but landed in the bottom two over her commercial performance. The judges are incredibly intrigued by Heather and adore her. So does the viewing audience. They voted her CoverGirl of the Week for the seventh time, a feat no one other than Cycle Four's Naima has matched. Whether Heather stays at number one or slips to second depends on her doing better than Jenah next week.

Saleisha

Saleisha is a 21 year old receptionist from Los Angeles.
Saleisha is just chugging along to third place. Once again, her photo doesn't draw raves, but her personal presence does. At this point, if one of the top two girls falters or is sent home, Saleisha has a shot at making it to the final runway show and maybe winning, but for now, I think she's destined for third.

Chantal

Chantal is a 19 year old student from Austin, TX.
Chantal moves up mostly by default. Her commercial wasn't 'A+' material, but none of the girls really dazzled with their commercials. Sure she got her photo first from Tyra, but that was because she was the best in a run-of-the-mill group. Had Bianca not shown questionable strength of character, I would've left Chantal where she was, but she lands in fourth this week.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bianca

Bianca is an 18 year old college student from Queens.
Bianca drops to last place. She failed to impress the judges with her commercial, but then again, none of the girls did. That's not to give her a free pass though. Bianca falls to last place because she showed questionable strength of character this episode. She continued to complain about Heather's juvenile nature, but also loudly laughed at her and poked fun. Then, rather than show that she can step up and take on anything, she allowed her fears to get the best of her and she dropped out of the high wire challenge. This did not go unnoticed at judging panel nor by me.
