America's Next Top Model 9: Ranking The Top 11

This week's America's Next Top model was all about high fashion drama.
Miss J met the girls in a "fashion madhouse" for walking lessons while wearing straitjackets.
Bianca and Saleisha had a row over Saleisha's supposed haughtiness.
The challenge involved the girls walking a runway in restrictive couture gowns and Saleisha won again.
For the photo shoot, the girls took to a rock climbing wall. In the end, Kimberly was cut for her lackluster photos.
Eleven girls remain and next week is the infamous "makeover episode." What will happen?
Heather
Current Ranking: 1 - Previous Ranking: 1
Heather is a 21 year old college student from Valparaiso, IN.
Heather is getting better. Already starting from a lofty position after last week's great reception, Heather furthered her contender status in this week's show. The judges completely flipped for her photo again and Tyra was amazed at Heather's eye contact despite her disability. This shows that Heather has ways of keeping herself on track and she'll need those tricks of the trade if she wants to succeed in this business. One of Heather's strongest points though is that even when she's just standing there, the judges see so many photo opportunities. That says a lot about her potential and the judges' faith in her. Were it not for Jenah surprising everyone, Heather would've received her photo first for the second week in a row.
Beyond the competition, I was also proud to see that Heather is finally being recognized by her peers. Saleisha, and even Bianca, noticed her potential and Bianca made a cute joke about stopping Heather before she gets too far into the competition. On top of all this, Heather was voted CoverGirl of the Week. Heather is doing a fantastic job and I wish her all the best.
Jenah
Current Ranking: 2 - Previous Ranking: 8
Jenah is an 18 year old student from Farmington, CT.
The judges were a little bored with Jenah last week, but Jenah really turned things around this week. She took an absolutely brilliant photo that completely knocked the judges over. Jenah has probably the most high fashion potential of anyone in this cast, except maybe Heather, and if she can turn in photos like this week's she'll be someone to watch out for.
Lisa
Current Ranking: 3 - Previous Ranking: 2
Lisa is a 20 year old dancer from Jersey City, NJ. Hmmm.
Lisa took another stunning photo, although the pose and look seemed a little to similar to last week's picture for my taste. Tyra noted that Lisa seemed a little self-concious in her film, but Lisa is in good stead. I don't foresee her going home anytime soon.
Chantal
Current Ranking: 4 - Previous Ranking: 3
Chantal is a 19 year old student from Austin, TX.
Chantal took another fantastic picture and the judges seem to like her. They aren't fawning over her like they are Lisa, Jenah, or Heather, but I don't think Chantal is any danger yet.
Saleisha
Current Ranking: 5 - Previous Ranking: 3
Saleisha is a 21 year old receptionist from Los Angeles.
Saleisha has won both challenges so far and turned in two fantastic pictures. Her photo this week was one of my favorites along with Heather, Chantal, and Jenah's. So why move her down? Well, the judges hinted that she's a little too "girl next door" and the fashion industry prefers edgy, fierce, "girl down the street and around the corner" type of personalities. Hopefully Saleisha's makeover will edge her out, but even if she does seem commercial, she's had a good track record so far and if her performances hold, she'll be around for a while. After all, Shannon from Cycle One and Mercedes from Cycle Two were commercial girls, but they both finished runner up in their respective seasons.
Sarah
Current Ranking: 6 - Previous Ranking: 5
Sarah is a 20 year old college student from Heath, MA.
Once again, Sarah wasn't a featured player, but she took a terrific photo and the judges kept her around. Sarah is safe for now.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Victoria
Current Ranking: 7 - Previous Ranking: 6
Victoria is a 20 year old college student from New Haven, CT.
Victoria is an interesting quirky girl and took another interesting photo. The judges thought it was a bit "awkward/little girl lost", but they still thought it was great and had a lot of interesting qualities about it. Tyra also said her shot was one of a million good ones, meaning Tyra had plenty to choose from. Victoria will have to watch out for this contentious trait that's popping in her though. For the second week in a row, she has challenged something Twiggy has said and that could bite Victoria in the butt later.
Ambreal
Current Ranking: 8 - Previous Ranking: 7
Ambreal is a 19 year old college student from Dallas, TX.
Ambreal took another lovely picture. I still think her face is dead in her photos, but the judges love them and that's what counts. What keeps Ambreal from breaking through is that the judges aren't 100% convinced yet that she's a model. Hopefully her makeover will help her out next week.
Janet
Current Ranking: 9 - Previous Ranking: 9
Janet is a 22 year old aesthetician from Bainbridge, GA.
Janet's picture was good, but Tyra noted that she just lucked into it and the rest of her film was sub-par. Guest judge Roy Campbell felt Janet is just some forgettable mall girl and Nigel agreed. If Janet can't step up her game and make the judges notice her for all the right reasons, don't look for her to stick around much longer.
Bianca
Current Ranking: 10 - Previous Ranking: 11
Bianca is an 18 year old college student from Queens.
Two weeks in and both of them are bad. With last week's picture, the judges felt Bianca didn't understand modeling at all. With this week's picture, the judges were left in stunned silence like they were with Cycle Eight Cassandra's ice cream photo. That's never a good sign. Tyra loved the photo, but no one else did and Bianca ended up in the bottom two. What saves her is that she has a presence and the judges feel she looks like a model. That's why I didn't move her to last place.
Ebony
Current Ranking: 11 - Previous Ranking: 12
Ebony is a 20 year old nursing student from Chicago.
I don't know what the judges are thinking with Ebony. Last week, I didn't think she deserved to be in the bottom two, but there she was. This week, I thought she fully deserved to go home and she wasn't even in the bottom two! Ebony had a terrific photo, but she was already resigned to the fact that she was going home even before judging panel happened. Usually when a girl seems to be giving up, the judges cut her loose, but I guess they see something in Ebony that makes them want to keep her around. I don't mind her staying, but she'll need some of that bravado she had in casting if she wants to go far.
Kimberly

Kimerbly is a 20 year old college student from Ocala, FL.

Mila

Mila is a 20 year old college grad from Boston.
