Age Of Love: Dancing, Dining and Dark Dalliances
Episode 7 Recap by Donna Emery
August 1, 2007

When she arrived back at the suite, she told the girls that it had been nice but not anything she'd do as a rule.

When the phone rang again, they knew it was for Jen. Jen was told that her carriage awaited her, and that she should bring her swimsuit.

Amanda carped that Mark would probably arrange for "some stupid romantic thing" with Jen. Megan listened, and seemed equally miffed.

When Jen went outside, she saw Mark waiting and a beautiful round coach that looked like Cinderella's coach. It was full of sparkling lights. When she expressed her pleasure, he said he'd decided to save the best for last. While they were riding in the carriage, she told Mark that though the others wanted more from him, she wanted him to know that he'd given her enough. "You've always made me feel special. This is my most romantic date, ever."

He brought Jen to a pool, and teased that it was just an excuse to see her in a bikini again. After swimming, she cuddled with him under a blanket and asked if he'd fantasized about her. He said he'd be lying if he told her that he hadn't. They began kissing deeply and Jen said she felt feisty. She told him again that she is falling for him. They went into a room where the camera didn't reach and talked about giving each other massages. In the dark, their words sounded like they were both having fun.

When Jen returned to the suite and described the date to Amanda, she got jealous again. She said that it sounded scandalous to her. Then she got upset, just as she had last week when Jayanna had described her own special date. "I put myself all the way out there, and now I feel embarrassed and silly to find out he's doing the same things with everyone else."

The morning before elimination, Maria again began to wonder why she was still in the contest. "I am tired of going from hot to cold. I can't take it."

Mark met with each of the ladies separately. He asked Megan to meet him first, and asked her how she feels about him. She said she still doesn't know for sure, but she likes him. He seemed to feel the same and said he hoped to get to know her better. He asked her to bring Jen over to talk to him next.

Jen came in and he asked her how she feels. She said that her feelings had undergone a change. He asked if the change had come after the massage. She laughed and said yes. He agreed that the massage had been fun.

Next came Amanda, and her words seemed familiar. Once again she said that she was upset about what she'd learned about another woman's experiences with Mark. She whined: "I heard about your off-camera massage." Mark's eyes got wide but he didn't deny it or defend himself. He went on to remind her that she is one of the ladies who is still part of the contest, and that she always makes him feel glad when he sees her. Whenever I see you, I think: "there she is!" Wow. What a smooth talker, eh?

But it worked for Amanda, who melted and once again remained smitten.

When Maria came in to talk to Mark, she once again vowed that she was ready to leave. We'd heard this song before, but this time she was resolute. She said that she was 40, and that she believed in using time wisely. She again told Mark that he shuts her out, except during their one -to-one moments. Mark tried to remind her that she is there for a reason. But she went on to say that she was eliminating herself. Though Mark told her that he'd decided that she was staying, she insisted that she needed to leave. He hugged her and said goodbye.

Mark never did reveal who he would have eliminated, since all of his talks to the ladies seemed like he was inviting them to stay. He went to the suite and told the remaining three ladies that Maria had left, and that he needed help to make his decision about the girls. So he told the girls to pack their bags… to go to Australia!

This left Megan with a real dilemma, because she is afraid of flying.

As the three ladies packed their bags, Megan continued to fret She began to sound like she was quoting from "Rain Man," and talked about how private planes crash more often than commercial liners. Jen and Amanda both reassured her that they would be with her.

Even as they rode in the limo with Mark, and as they went through the airport, Megan remained nervous.

As they began to board the plane, Megan balked. She said she just couldn't do it. Mark tried to persuade her that she is strong, but she said she felt as though she would throw up. Mark came back with more lines from "Rain Man" by telling her that Quantas is safe, but she just couldn't do it. Sadly, Mark walked her to the limo. She apologized for backing out, but she knew it was for the best. They kissed for the first time just before she got into the car to go home. Mark couldn't believe that he had finally shared a kiss with Megan - only to say goodbye to her!

Next week, after the family visit, Mark will choose either Amanda or Jen to win his heart.

Both ladies are different, and there's more than 20 years' difference between them. But they are the two ladies left standing as the plane heads toward the Land Down Under.

Tune in next week, and see who wins Mark's heart!
