The virginal or the vixen?
The Bachelor Reunion got off to a slow start, but once bad girl, Rozlyn was thrown in the mix, The Bachelor: The Women Tell All changed the face of the goodie two shoes show forever!
Reflecting on a “very emotional season,” host Chris Harrison and Bachelor, Jake Pavelka sit in the deliberation room before showtime.
Rozlyn’s and the mischievous producer’s scandal is the first thing mentioned by Chris. Jake described the situation as one that knocked him off his high horse. This also served an intense turning point. After this episode, Jake was 100% focused on eliminating those who seemed to not be there for him.
Another woman mentioned in a negative light was Elizabeth, the Nanny. Her games got the best of her and wound up throwing her out the competition pretty early on. “I’ve had games ruin more relationships than I can count,” justifies Bachelor.
Now a shock to many, the guys recap on Vienna’s magical date that has allowed her to surpass many who hated her.
What made her so different early on was the fact that they “both faced a fear” together. Both jumped off a bridge together. “That really sparked a relationship,” Jake expressed. Who knew the way to Jake’s heart? Vienna, since then has been the one to beat.
For Tenley, Vienna’s opponent (so to speak), San Francisco marked when Jake fell for her. This was not too long ago.
One of the season’s biggest shockers was Ali’s abrupt departure. Chris recalls that Ali leaving the show was “emotional.” “Ali left in love with me and me in love with her,” Jake adds. “…What could have been?”
Then the episode goes into left field. Instead of rolling right into the meat of the story, The Reunion stalls. The “What happens after the season is over” segment was not what anyone cared to see.
Following past Bachelor cast members as they have a reunion of their own took the show in an uncanny direction. Even though they are “…gorgeous single women, gorgeous single men” as described by Desiree of Lorenzo’s season, many viewers just wanted to get to the current point – Jake’s season.
The cameras caught up with past cast that made a splash while trying to convince us that their reunion took on a life of its own - but we all knew when the true party started. Even the past members giving back to charity couldn’t clean up the questionable image the show has now taken on since this infamous season.
