The Bachelor: The Dream Job Versus the Dream Man - Ranking The Final 3
Rankings by RTVC Staff Writer Jesse Caylor

Tonight on The Bachelor, we saw our biggest game changer since that scandal with the producer.

The fact that this new drama is centered on Ali seems appropriate as the blonde beauty was one of the current front-runners in the race for Jake’s heart, much like Rozlyn was at the time of her exit.

I’m getting ahead of myself though. First, let’s talk about the families Jake visited this week as he made his way to the hometowns of the Final Four ladies.

Jake seemed to really enjoy his time in each of the cities and all of the families seemed to enjoy Jake.

I found it interesting that all of the parents were voicing the same concern at this point. How can Jake have fallen for all four? I have to wonder this myself, because the four are very different which, to some extent, can be explained by the families we saw in tonight’s episode.

I really thought it was interesting that Gia’s family met Jake at a restaurant where the others brought Jake to a family home. Of course, in New York City that could and probably was just because an apartment would be harder to film in.

Regardless of the setting, I was blown away by Gia’s mom. She was the right combination of loud and protective while still be warm and compassionate.

On that note, I was actually fairly impressed by all of the families we met this week. They all seemed like genuine people, even Vienna’s father was far more down to earth than I expected, and I could see how the girls ended up being as nice as they did this season.

However, ultimately the decision this week was made by work not family and is for that reason that a name familiar to the top spot is now black and white on this page.

It’s hard for me to judge Ali’s decision. Obviously this job was important to her as she has been living far from her family for it before coming to the show. We know it was her dream job and the choice between a dream job and a dream man is not one I envy. I’m not sure if I could sacrifice everything for someone without a ring.

On the other hand, I’m not sure I could leave a man I had fallen for on the curb.

Ultimately, the choice was hers and Jake didn’t give her much to change her my mind in my opinion. He told her he wanted her to stay, but from Ali’s position it was too big of a risk, especially with someone as different from her as Vienna still in the running.

Ali said it before, how could he like Vienna if he liked her? Regardless, with Ali choosing to leave we are left with three girls and a new front-runner.
