Big Brother: No Surprises Here...
Spoiler Free Commentary by Mike Shields

Ok, eliminations this time. April and Jerry still on the block, as we
previously discussed. April and Ollie started campaigning hard to keep
April, believing that Dan is a swing vote. April again offered Dan money
to keep her in the house. Oh, Dan stated that he didn't call out who
offered him money at the veto meeting, to 'cause chaos' in the house.
This may or may not prove to be a loser move in the future. Short term,
this tactic worked splendidly, allowing Michelle to jump to an extremely
wrong conclusion. That seems to be how she's getting her exercise in the
house these days.
So, Ollie went to Dan, and basically stated that we won't go after you
if you keep April. His thinking was that three out of six people won't
go after him next week. The problem with that plan, is that after the
eviction, there'll be seven people in the house. It's always been my
theory that you have to be playing for the long term goal, as well as
the short term, and they're not mutually exclusive. The poker analogy is
that in a tournament, you're playing for the final table, which may
require you at some point to fold a winning hand. So that I don't
digress, I'll let you find out why elsewhere....
Renny wants April gone. If Dan votes to keep April, she'll believe Dan
to be a traitor, as previously discussed. You don't want someone that's
managed to fly under the radar since week one as your enemy at this
point in the game. Dan's in a strong alliance right now, that April and
Ollie aren't in. No reason to change, and no amount of money is a good
incentive. Of course, they don't know this, figuring that Dan has every
reason to vote Jerry out, based on his comments last week.
Jerry figured out what Dan was doing, and came up with an interesting
strategy, which boiled down to, keeping quiet. This worked spectacularly.
If Jerry can survive another week, he might make final four, at which
point, anythings possible. Michelle believed that Jerry was the one
that offered Dan money, and stated she wanted Jerry gone. This gave
Ollie and April the opportunity to promise Michelle more time in the
game. Of course, Michelle waffled, stating that she's willing to vote to
keep April, although, she has to see how the house is voting. Way to
keep your floater status intact, Michelle.
Renny's HoH moment wasn't too much help, as she discussed seeing
pictures of her family, and we didn't really gain any new insight into
her game-play. We got the usual diary entries of the players as to why
they should vote a particular way, and we didn't really get anything
enlightening there, either.
When it came time to vote, April was evicted 4-1. Dan couldn't be
bought, or even rented, and Michelle voted with the house, as we all
knew she would. Now with only seven players left, there's an alliance of
three: Keesha, Dan and Memphis. Renny is the fourth member of this
group. If she were to figure this out sometime soon, she could collect
the floaters; Ollie, Jerry, and Michelle, and maybe create a new
stronger alliance with them. Although, she'd probably be the fourth
member of this one as well.
As always, power goes to whomever wins HoH. This time, it's an endurance
competition, so, I can only guess that either Memphis or Ollie will win.
This time it involves sitting on an extremely small stump, hanging onto
a rope, and being slammed into a foam wall while being showered with
'rain.' I guess the falling water is to make the rope, or is it a pole?
slippery when wet. Definitely an E ticket ride you won't find anywhere
else, even at Raging Waters.
So, the current score is, seven people left in the house, a strong three
person alliance, a weak four person alliance, and three floaters. We'll
see how this all shakes out on Sunday. Well, of course, I will. For
