Big Brother: Worst Case Scenario
Spoiler Free Commentary by Mike Shields
Sept 4, 2008
With five players left in the house, and a very strong alliance of three, and a loose alliance of four, it would look like Jerry's out the door, as he has no real friends in the house left. However, as with all things Big Brother, you should expect the unexpected, and when the HoH competition literally rolled around, we were all in for a shock.
Ever play Skee-Ball as a kid? well, the seven question quiz to see who would be the next HoH was a variation on this, to the point that Keesha, as outgoing HoH, was dressed up as a carnival ring master to host the game. I guess Julie was busy. The questions dealt with what day did certain events occur, and when you knew that, you'd roll a red ball into the proper slot between 1 and 52. The closest you get to the actual day the better, and a zero would be the absolute best score.
In a typical three versus one competition, with Jerry being odd man out against Renny, Dan and Memphis, it would seem like it would be easy for one of them to win, sending Jerry packing, and bringing on the next week. However, when the final tally came, Jerry ended up winning the HoH, and throwing the alliance of four into a turmoil.
Dan and Memphis had a talk. It followed that Dan would be Jerry's main target to leave the house this week, so, they planned accordingly. The secret Renegade alliance is still intact. Memphis' plan was to goto Jerry, and let him know that Dan nominated him, and that he has no allegiance to him. This worked better than he had hoped, as Jerry offered to take Memphis to the final two. I don't believe Jerry will make it past the final four, but there you have it.
Meanwhile Renny and Keesha talked about what they thought would happen, and either Dan and Memphis would go up, or they would go up. When it came time for the nominations, Memphis' ploy worked, and Dan and Keesha ended up being nominated. He gave a speech about how the winner of the veto will determine who goes home this week, and then closed the ceremony.
If Jerry wins the veto, the nominations stay the same. Dan will go home if that happens, as the vote between Renny and Memphis will be split, and Jerry as the tie breaker will send Dan packing.
If Renny wins the veto, she takes Keesha off, and then either Dan or Memphis goes home. Probably Dan, as Memphis made a side deal with Keesha earlier. So, if he survives this week, it looks really good for him to go all the way, and win the game.
If Keesha wins the veto, she takes herself off. And since Jerry has a deal with Memphis, Renny goes up, and should go home. If you ask me, Renny has slid way too far under the radar in this game, and the Renegades' plan will have worked splendidly.
Dan winning the veto brings.....
