Big Brother: Living In Luxury Means Sand In Your Shorts
Spoiler Free Commentary by Mike Shields

Well, as previously discussed, Dan won the HoH competition. When the remaining house-guests returned the the living-room afterward, they were greeted by a seated Sumo wrestler, spouting “I am sitting on something you need.” in some language I didn't recognize. He would get up and stretch every once in awhile, revealing a black envelope with a gold seal underneath. After what seemed like hours of this, Dan finally figured out what was going on, and grabbed the envelope.
He read the contents, which stated that the luxury competition has started. Whoever wins gets a day outside the house, and a leg up in the game. This was very mysterious, and for the next 'day' or so, the contestants ambled around, figuring out what that could possibly be, and the alliance of three took additional time to discuss what to do about Jerry, as Keesha was concerned that Jerry was going to attempt to break them up.
The yard was shown with all sorts of statues, including a spaceship, an orator, and a bathtub full of what can only be described as, well, shit. There was also a contortionist, as well as a guy in a gorilla suit. He went inside, and revealed himself to be Jesse. Jesse woke up all the contestants, and brought them out into the yard for the luxury competition. “Guess the phrase that is represented” and win. They had three hours, and three guesses apiece. Jesse's job as the gorilla was to cover the various objects in the yard, as the competition progressed.
Jerry burned off his three guesses almost right away, and came nowhere close. Keesha's 3rd guess, “I blew it,” was close, referencing a giant blueberry, and the word 'IT” emblazoned on a giant cracking egg that had a chicken's head sticking out. Dan came through with, “Bury the Hatchet,” which was correct, giving him the prize.
Dan was called to the diary room, to receive his reward. He read the envelope, and found out that he could take one of the remaining contestants with him, OR, one of the jury members. He chose Michelle, for reasons that I'll go into in a moment. The interesting thing here is that Dan performed the following analysis: “If I take Memphis, Jerry and Keesha will know I have an alliance with him. If I take Keesha, maybe Memphis will think I'm breaking my alliance with him.” I don't remember what he had to say about Jerry, but I don't remember whether or not the thought even occurred to him. The point here is that when he went out to announce his prize, he stated that he could've taken one of them, or go alone (!) And that he decided to go alone.
Choosing Michelle in order to maybe repair that relationship, and swing votes toward him if he's in the final two, is probably a good idea. I don't think it will work, however, it will give Michelle a nice consolation prize for trusting Ollie, and being backdoored earlier. Jerry came to the almost wrong conclusion that maybe the jury members will be on the island when they get there. He's smarter than everyone gives him credit for, and this may prove deadly come the veto competition.
The nominations proved interesting and not as straight forward as I thought they'd be. Dan nominated Jerry and Memphis, after having a conversation with Memphis planning this move. This surprisingly worked, keeping the Renegade alliance hidden. Or is it? Keesha felt safe, since she wasn't nominated, and thought Dan would take her to the final two instead of Memphis. Memphis said it's always scary being on the block, however, he's not worried too much. Jerry stated that he felt if he could win the veto, that maybe Dan will take him to the final two.
I still favor Memphis winning it all, followed by Keesha, Dan and Jerry. Stay tuned for the veto competition, which will prove enlightening.
