Big Brother: Brian Gets Ejected From The Cockpit
Episode 3 Recap by Logan Huffman
July 17, 2008
Previously on 'Big Brother 10', 13 new houseguests moved into the 'Big Brother' house, and immediately had to choose the first HOH without ever speaking to one another. Jerry was chosen, and he nominated Renny and Jessie for eviction after they got into an argument. Meanwhile, after Brian informed Libra, April, and Keesha of his plans to oust Memphis, Ollie sold Brian out and quickly formed a plan with the girls to turn on him. Eight of the players gave Jerry an ultimatum, forcing him to turn on Brian. At the Veto competition, Jessie emerged victorious, and saved himself from the block, and at the Veto ceremony, Jessie removed himself, and Jerry went along with the others' plans, nominating Brian for eviction. Who will be evicted tonight?

Julie welcomes us to the show, live audience in tow, which is a bit odd, since it has been so long since the show has done that on a regular episode. The last time 'Big Brother' had a regular live audience, I was in middle school. That seems crazy to think about, but the show has been on that long. Julie's also back to wearing skimpier dressed again, as opposed to the winter clothing she was wearing the last time we saw her.

As we go into the house, Julie reminds us all that blindsides cannot happen without traitors. We see the flashback of Jessie taking himself off of the chopping block, and Brian taking his spot in the nomination chair next to Renny.

As the ceremony ends, Renny hugs Brian, who tells us that the house of cards came tumbling down, and as soon as Jerry spoke the first sentence, his stomach drop and he knew that the had gotten to Jerry, and they had all sold him down the river. Dan is dumbfounded and shocked that Brian is on the block, adding that his alliance has gone down in flames. Jerry apologizes to Brian, telling him that the others gave him an ultimatum. Brian wants to go up to the HOH room and talk to Jerry, who tells us that he decided to sacrifice Brian in order to save himself.

After they get up to the HOH room, Brian asks Jerry who gave him the ultimatum. Jerry tells him eight people did, and Brian asks if that includes Dan and Ollie. Jerry says not Dan, but Ollie, adding that Ollie gathered everyone together to come and talk to him. Brian is trying to figure out why Ollie was the ringleader. Jerry says that Ollie told him that if he nominated Memphis, that they would vote out Renny, and then get rid of him (Jerry) the following week when he was ineligible for HOH. Brian tells us that Ollie was shaking hands and giving everyone his word- the word of a preacher's son, adding that people are going to see what Ollie's word is actually worth. Including you, Brian, who will probably be watching from home.

Jerry brings up the fact that he wasn't wearing any military gear today, as he couldn't represent a military organization knowing that he was going to break his word. Jerry says that he doesn't break his word, so I guess that must have been Jerry's evil twin who just nominated Brian. Oh wait, 'Big Brother' has already done that before. Jerry adds that he had no choice, as Brian tells us that he doesn't want to hear that crap from Jerry, as all he had to do was stick to the plan, throwing a sarcastic thanks towards Jerry at the end of his thoughts. Jerry adds that he resisted the plan and told them it went against what he believed in. I'm sure that's comforting to Brian.

Later, Dan walks up to Brian in the bathroom, telling him that he had no clue this was going to happen. Brian knows that he didn't, and adds that Steven didn't know, either, but everyone else did. Brian warns Dan to watch out for Ollie. Dan says that it hurts him, and he could have never believed that Ollie would flip. Dan tells Brian that it is nothing against him, but he would have thought him more likely to sell out than Ollie.

Outside, Dan and Ollie are sitting, as Brian joins them and asks Ollie if he orchestrated the mutiny. Ollie denies it, saying that house was together, and that's what makes it hard, adding that his cards were shown, but not by him. Brian asks Ollie who did show his cards, and ignoring the question, Ollie says that Libra, Keesha, and April knew they had an alliance. Dan asks him how they knew, and Ollie says that they backed him into a corner.

Dan tells Ollie that he did break his word, and Ollie admits that he did give them his word, which he doesn't take lightly, but the numbers were against him, so his broke his word just the same as Jerry. Dan says that he planned to come into this game and be cutthroat, but he realizes that his word isn't worth $500,000. Dan tells Ollie that he gave him his word, and he wouldn't have went against it, even if it had meant sacrificing himself. Ollie says that's a difference between the two of them. Ollie adds that he knows Brian will go out swinging, and gets up and leaves.

Dan tells Brian that Ollie.....
