Big Brother: "Suck It Bitches!"
Episode 6 Recap by Logan Huffman
July 24, 2008
|
Previously on ‘Big Brother’, after eight houseguests banded together to evict Brian, Jessie gained power, becoming HOH and targeting two of Brian’s former allies, Dan and Steven, nominating them for eviction. Dan tried to change his strategy, wanting to look weak to the other players, throwing the Veto competition to keep up his persona. Meanwhile, Jessie, Michelle, Angie, and Memphis formed a new alliance, and after an ageist comment, Libra, Jerry, and Renny all got into a screaming match. After the blowout, Steven tried to convince Michelle to use the Veto so they could evict Libra instead, but in the end, Michelle left the nominations the same. Who will be evicted tonight?
Julie welcomes us to tonight’s show in her all-orange dress, along with the useless live audience. Julie reminds us of the week’s events, throwing in a few bad quips that the writers pawned off on her. While Dan’s strategy is to lay low and let Steven sink himself, Julie reminds us that even the quietest mouse can’t escape the eyes of the cat.
We see the flashback of Michelle not using the Veto, leaving Steven and Dan to fight it out on the block. Dan tells us that he was elated when Michelle announced that she wasn’t using the Veto, telling us that his plan to stay has thus far been very successful, as he knows everyone views Steven as the bigger threat. Steven says that it sucks that he and Dan are both on the block, as if he convinces people to vote Dan out, it’s kind of like stabbing Dan in the back.
Keesha tells us that after she realized Steven wasn’t coming off of the block, she knew she had to keep her word to her alliance of Libra, April, and Ollie, which she adds that she wishes she had never made, because if she does anything else, she’ll be targeted. Libra tells us that the eight people who banded together to get Brian out of the house are targeting the floaters: Steven, Dan, Renny, and Jerry, adding that she hopes Steven goes this week, followed by either Dan or Jerry next week.
Steven goes into the bedroom and tells Dan that he tried like hell to get someone else put into their place, naming Libra as his target, adding that he tried anything while he was in that moment of desperation. Steven adds that he doesn’t want Dan to go home either, and Dan says that he feels the same way, but it is now official, with Steven finishing by saying one of them is going home. Steven adds that he tried to find a way to keep both of them there, but now, the only thing he can do is try to keep himself from going home. Dan tells us that while he respects the fact that Steven wants to save himself, the more Steven campaigns, the more people will want him out of the house. Steven finishes by saying that they are battling each other now, and he is going to be sad to see Dan go if he stays. Dan says, “Vice-Versa.”
Later, Keesha, Libra, Ollie, April, and Steven have all gathered in the spa room. Steven tells them that he understands if they would rather have him out over Dan, but he has to come out and fight for himself. Steven asks them who they would rather have out. Ollie tells him that he has no problem with him at all, and he really wants him to stay around on a personality level.
April chimes in, adding that she has no problem with him either, and she actually thinks they get along pretty well. Steven tells us that he just feels like he got a raw deal, and now, he’s trying to do anything possible to save himself. Ollie tells him that he hates to relay it back to the Brian situation, but that is where is all started, and where the lines in the sand were drawn. Steven tells them that he feels like he is just under this dark Brian cloud, and there is nothing he can do. He adds that if they look at both people on the block right now, they can look and see who voted for Brian and who didn’t, adding that while he hates to say this, he doesn’t understand why they feel like Dan would be more on their side than him. April tells Steven that he is being targeted just because he is a bigger physical competitor.
Steven asks if a better competitor wouldn’t make a better ally. No one says anything, and Steven continues, saying that if they asked him to be an ally for them, being a better competitor would only benefit them, asking them to just give him a chance. Ollie says that he believes him. Steven says that he will stay on their side if they ask him, and he offers himself as an ally to them, unbeknownst to the rest of the house. April just says that she doesn’t know, because it is tough in this game. Steven says that Dan won’t offer them that.
After Steven leaves the room, Ollie tells the others that it isn’t a huge secret that they all like Steven and want Steven around. Michelle comes into the room, and while Ollie encourages her to stay and chill, she quickly leaves. After she leaves, Keesha implies how untrustworthy Michelle is. Ollie adds that Michelle and Jessie are really tight. Keesha says that every time she sees Angie, she’s with Memphis. Libra and Keesha conclude that Angie and Memphis must have some sort of deal with Jessie and Michelle, which is why Angie was left off of the block.
Keesha says that there is no way.....
