Big Brother: Unhappy Birthday Keesha!
Episode 11 Recap by Jenny Lane
August 7, 2008
|
Previously on Big Brother 10, the houseguests competed in an endurance challenge for HoH. It came down to Michelle and April. April made a deal with Michelle, and promised to keep both her and Jessie safe. Michelle dropped out, and April became HoH.
With Angie out of the way, Keesha struck up a friendship with Memphis. That made April question Keesha’s commitment to their alliance. April voiced her concerns to Renny, who went straight to Keesha with a report.
At the nomination ceremony, April nominated Memphis, which was expected, and Jessie, which was not. April promised that Jessie was just a pawn, and that Memphis would go, but we’ll see how that goes.
Tonight’s episode begins during the nomination ceremony on day 25. Memphis tells us that it sucks to be nominated, and their alliance is being picked off one by one. Jessie tells us that “it’s an honor to be nominated three of the four weeks.” Michelle says “usually the pawn goes home, what is this house trying to do to me!” April tells us that even though some of her alliance wants Jessie out, Memphis is her target this week.
April tells Jessie to trust her, and he’s safe. Jessie tells her that he trusts both her and Ollie. April says the rest of her alliance has “the same understanding.”
Dan is in the diary room for his America’s Player assignment. America has chosen to have Dan hug Jessie for ten seconds! Dan yells “oh no, what are you guys thinking, if you want Dan and Jessie to hug, you’re going to get Dan and Jessie to hug for an awkward ten seconds!” Dan tells us that he’s going to go to Jessie with a sob story about his girlfriend (Monica).
That night, Dan goes to talk to Jessie and says “I just want to talk to you about some personal stuff.” Jessie says “hit me with it.” Dan starts saying how he’s worried that Monica isn’t going to be there when he gets out, and starts to fake cry. Jessie moves over and puts his arm around Dan, but just for a second. Dan keeps on with his fake crying, and Jessie kneels down in front of him and gives him a pep talk. They get done talking, stand, and hug…for SEVENTEEN SECONDS! I have to say that Jessie was really genuine in his concern for Dan, and I think that the things he said were heartfelt. Jessie leaves the room, and Dan smiles to the camera.
It’s late at night, and time to pick players for the PoV competition. April picks Michelle, Jessie picks Libra, and Memphis picks Jerry. Renny is going to host.
Upstairs, April is crying to Dan, Renny, Libra, Ollie and Keesha about the PoV. She says that the two people she doesn’t want playing are going to play (Michelle and Jerry). They’re worried that Memphis will get PoV. April cries and says “it sucks, it sucks really bad.”
Libra says “I know I’m not the strongest competitor but I’ll try my best.” April kind of gives her a sarcastic look and doesn’t say anything. Libra says “don’t count me out in this competition, I kind of feel like I’m not here, and I’m getting upset because if anyone has questions about where I stand or how I’m going to play, then they need to ask me.” Dan tries to smooth things over, and says “I don’t think that’s what anyone’s saying.” April meanwhile, stays silent. Libra gets up and leaves the room.
After Libra leaves, the rest of the group leaves Ollie and April alone. April starts yelling about how Libra has excuses for everything and hasn’t won any competitions.
Downstairs, Libra tells Keesha.....
