Big Brother: The Blood On His Hands
Episode 19 Recap by Jenny Lane
August 25, 2008
Previously on Big Brother 10, Memphis and Dan formed a secret alliance. HoH Renny nominated Jerry and April for eviction. Lovebirds April and Ollie decided to live together after the show, and Michelle joined forces with them. April and Ollie went to Dan to try to win his vote, which would keep April in the house. April offered Dan cash and Ollie offered him safety in order for her to stay. In the end, it didn’t work, and April was evicted from the house.

At the HoH competition, the houseguests perched on rope swings and were pelted with rain. Tonight, we’ll see the end of the HoH competition and find out who the new HoH nominates.

Tonight begins during the HoH competition, as everyone is still in the competition. The rain comes down, and the rope swinging begins. As the ropes swing, they also slam the houseguests into a (padded) wall. They actually crash surprisingly hard, evoking laughs, screams and squeals from all of them.

Next, we see a flashback of April being evicted on day 45. Michelle says she and Ollie both want “vengeance for April’s eviction.” Ollie says he’s distraught over April’s departure. Keesha is happy to see April go, since they’ve had so much conflict in the house. Renny is happy that her HoH went successfully, and she got her target out. Dan tells us that April’s $5,000 wasn’t enough, he’s here for $500,000.

Back to the HoH competition, There are balloons hanging on the wall filled with liquid, so they start grabbing the balloons and throwing them on each other. Interestingly, Dan is wearing a raincoat, but everyone else is dressed for sunshine.

After 26 minutes, Jerry is looking miserable. He tells us that the rope was cutting into his groin. Dan says he realized that it helps to keep his legs straight out, and then he doesn’t lose blood flow. Keesha and Michelle are looking uncomfortable too.

Jerry is the first to drop, after 41 minutes. He falls onto the mat and just lays there for a minute, saying that he can’t move his legs. Renny walks over to make sure he’s ok.

Michelle the whiner says that “the innocent bystander always gets hurt.” Memphis was throwing a balloon at Ollie (or as she says it, ah-LEE) and it hit her instead. She’s complaining that the liquid got her in the eyes and now she can’t see. Memphis asks her what it tastes like, and she says “it tastes like your blood.” Michelle grabs a balloon and whips it at Memphis, but it misses him. During this time, her shirt is hiked up in front and we get a super unflattering view of her stomach rolls as she’s hunched over.

After one hour and five minutes, Keesha drops, and Jerry comes over to help her. She says she can’t feel her legs, and hobbles over to the side.

The onlookers wrap themselves up in towels, as the swingers keep swinging. Michelle isn’t protecting herself, and is letting her front and sides get hit. The guys are all spinning themselves around so that their backs get the most damage.

After one hour and 59 minutes, Michelle drops. She of course blames it on the netting, saying that her foot got caught in the net and that’s why she dropped.

Now it’s down to Michelle, Dan and Memphis. After two hours and 20 minutes, Memphis is looking uncomfortable. Partly due to his raincoat, Dan looks the most comfortable. Ollie looks cold but determined.

After three hours and ten minutes, the onlookers have been inside to get dry clothes on, and are now back outside. Memphis says that his body is numb and he has sharp pains in his legs. Ollie’s teeth are chattering and his eyes are glazed over.

After three hours and 19 minutes, Memphis drops. He has a really hard time getting up, even with Jerry’s help.

Now it’s down to Dan and Ollie, so the bargaining can begin. Dan talks about how he needs to see pictures of his girlfriend. Ollie says “I love my peeps too though.”

Dan asks Ollie what he wants. Ollie says he wants to win, and he promises not to put Dan up. Dan says he can’t do that. Dan says he promises that Ollie isn’t going up, and if someone uses the PoV, Ollie still won’t go up.

That wasn’t enough for Ollie, so Dan asks what else he can give. Ollie doesn’t answer, and Dan asks him who he wants protected. Ollie says “myself.” Dan asks who else, and Ollie says “myself.” Michelle is listening and doesn’t look at all pleased with that answer, but it makes Keesha laugh.

Dan’s next attempt is to.....
