Big Brother: It Wasn't Personal - It Was Just Great Game Play
Finale Recap by Jenny Lane
September 17, 2008
Previously on Big Brother 10, 13 houseguests move into the Big Brother house. We’re now down to the final two, Dan and Memphis. Dan formed the first alliance in the house with Brian. Memphis was one of the group of eight that was responsible for Brian’s eviction. With Brian gone, Dan decided to paint a picture of himself as a weak player. It worked, and the alliance of eight sent all of Brian’s friends home, except for Dan.

Dan then accepted America’s offer to become America’s player for one week. As the alliance of eight turned on each other, Dan and Memphis formed a secret alliance. When Jessie and Memphis were on the block, Dan became the swing vote, and his vote was in America’s hands. America chose to evict Jessie, and he was the next to be evicted.

With Dan and Memphis’ alliance growing stronger, they named it the renegade alliance and pledged to go to the end. Memphis, Dan, Keesha and Renny’s alliance dominated the game for the next several weeks, and sent April, Michelle and Ollie out of the house.

Jerry put a wrench in the renegade’s alliance by winning the next HoH. They guys decided to make a deal with Jerry to ensure that they both wouldn’t be on the block together. Memphis won the PoV and saved himself, so Renny was nominated and then evicted.

Dan continued to dominate the game by winning a luxury trip to a beach. He was allowed to invite a house member or a jury mate with him on the trip. Dan chose to take Michelle, but told the housemates that he had decided not to take anyone.

Dan then won the final two HoH’s. Memphis was forced to evict Keesha, and Dan evicted Jerry. Now only the renegades are left, and one of them will be $500,000 richer tonight!

Julie is dressed in a black cocktail dress and huge hair, as she opens tonight’s finale. First, we see the jury house as they wait to see who their last jury member will be. Keesha is hoping that it’s Memphis, Ollie hopes it’s Dan, and Libra hopes it’s Jerry. On cue, Jerry walks in, and nobody looks very happy about it. Michelle says “that means the two evil people are in there.”

Jerry tells them that the two guys played everyone, and they were a force to be reckoned with. Keesha starts yelling at Jerry for putting her up instead of Memphis. Jerry tells her that he had an agreement with Memphis, and Memphis didn’t keep his word. Renny yells and says that she doesn’t believe what Jerry is saying. Jerry tells her to let him talk, and Renny yells “no!” Jerry tells Keesha that he’s not the one that took Memphis off the block, she did. Renny calls Jerry a “chauvinist pig” and the two of them bicker some more.

Renny says that Memphis is the most insensitive person she has ever met, and he’s cunning and conniving. Keesha says that’s how he made it to the end. She says Dan got everyone to like him, and it was all game. Michelle says Dan should have told her why he put her up, and not played the roulette game. April agrees and says that was embarrassing, mocking and heartless. Renny says Dan is immature and young, and Ollie asks if that condones things. Libra says Big Brother isn’t “I’m your best friend,” and you’re trying to win the money. Ollie says they both played the game well, and he tips his hat to Dan for playing the game. Michelle says Dan’s deal with Ollie was one of the smartest moves he made.

April asks Michelle about.....
