Here' some Big Brother news that really shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody. Especially if you have been reading these columns.
In last night's episode we learned that America's Player, not that you or I chose him, was required to vote to evict whoever we told him to.
Until yesterday Carol had not played the game at all and of course Big Brother did not show it when she started playing. You had to see it on the live feeds. But play it she did and she did well. Making deals and promises and doing everything she could to stay in the house. Too bad she started so late because most of America has no idea what she is like. Just a vague impression that she is annoying and a spoiled princess.
Turns out she can play, even if it is in her own awkward way.
So you can't really blame America for voting to direct Eric to vote for her eviction. And I think that is how the vote went last night. I really don't doubt it at all.
This picture shows Eric and Amber early this morning. He is in the process of telling her that he has voted to save her. In doing so he revealed how America voted to have him evict Carol. Nice job blowing the secret Eric.
Unless of course he is lying to her. I wouldn't put it past America's Whacko. If he could see some gain for himself from it. But I don't see it. He probably told her the truth.
Carol was convinced that Eric was the swing vote. That the house was tied 5 to 5. If she is right you can look for Big Brother to make a big deal out of that in tomorrow night's broadcast.
But I suspect it may not have been that close.
It's all up to the Mrs. Robinson alliance. That's four votes and I suspect they will vote as a block. I don't think it's over for Carol yet.
But hey, I've been wrong before.

Because of her sisterly relation to her "Big Brother" it's really important that Big Sister's identity remain covert - we wouldn't want the parental unit getting wind of her snooping and "ground" her. Fortunately around here they can keep a secret much better than most of the major networks!
