Big Brother Live Feeds
Big Brother: Nominations, Food Competition, And More
Commentary and Report by Big Sister
July 20, 2007

Warning: Spoiler Material Below
It was nomination day in the Big Brother house and we have the Food Competition as well. If you haven't read my report on what happened in the house last night you should catch up first. You'll find it here.

Before I get too far into what happened today I want to take care of a couple of housecleaning chores first. Sorry, don't mean to bore you, but I'm getting a lot of emails on two subjects and I'm going to answer them here. I'll be brief. Promise.

People are still asking about the Big Sister daily emails that we had last year. I've written in my columns several times about them but I know not everybody reads every column. I can't for the life of me think why that is. But it is what it is.

We had to discontinue the daily emails because they just got too expensive. Last year it was costing almost $200.00 a month to send out just over 60,000 emails every day of the month. This year we were told the cost would be over $600.00 a month for the same number of emails. That allowed no growth of the email list and it was just too expensive. I'm sorry. I miss them too.

Waiting for the Food Competition.
But the easiest way to find all my reports and all of Reality TV Calendar's coverage of Big Brother is to visit this site's front page. We run anywhere from two to five reports a day and you will see them all headlined right here. Even this article is headlined there. Book mark it and come back a couple of times a day and you won't miss anything. And while I'm blatantly pitching you let me tell you that you'll find all our coverage of all the best Reality TV shows headlined on that same page.

I'm also getting emails asking why I keep pushing the live feeds so much. These baffle me as it seems obvious. But I'll answer anyway.

First, if you are reading my reports you know that what you see on CBS is a very small fraction of what goes on in the house. And more often than not you don't see much of the real drama and action. But even if you do read my reports you aren't getting anywhere near all of it. I can only cover so much. People talk a lot faster than I can type and I do need some time off. If you really want to know what is happening tune in to the feeds. Doesn't matter if you have a lot of time for them or not. You'll never be bored.

And second, I get paid to push them. The money made from selling the feeds pays for this site year round. It really does buy me pizza. And everything else that I and my family eat. If you appreciate my reports please consider signing up. Even if only for a month. And don't forget, you get a 14 day free trial to see if you like them or not. Thank you.

Now on with the good stuff.

The day started with an early wake up call. Big Brother told them to expect the food competition at 10:30. Lots and lots of grumbling. Jen says "getting up and waiting is disgusting." What a world she must live in.

They aren't up 15 minutes and Kail has already begun working on Mike. She is trying to get him to work with her on a plan to get Zach nominated. This woman just will not give up. Give her a little credit for that I guess. But it is all a waste of time and Mike knows it. He just grunts and doesn't even answer her before walking away. She follows him and continues badgering him about it. She won't let up and she is really making things worse. She just doesn't seem to get it. She can't talk her way into everything she wants. She must live in an interesting world as well. Mike has finally had enough and just says "Interesting" before walking away from her again.

The Food Competition comes off and and afterwards all the hamsters are happy. That means it was not an eat well or eat slop competition. They competed for different food stuffs and they must have done well. Dustin jokes about the PA's (Production Assistants) who have to rush out and buy all the food they won. They are all happy and chattering away about all the good food they got. From the conversations we learn that they won: Beef, Pork, Chicken, Bar B Q Grill, Juice, Fajitas, Beer and Wine, Chips, Eggs, Milk, Cucumbers, Bananas, and Salad. There is sure to be more that they did not mention. Food will not be an issue this week, and I'm as happy as they are about it. I've never liked the slop twist. Hungry hamsters are just annoying and whiny. Drunk hamsters are much more fun.
