The Power of the Man
So, after telling Jen that he hated her because of her extreme self-centeredness and then going after Kail because she had told him during their "hammock talk" that she would vote to keep him in the House but didn't, and then taunting her while chipping away at her constantly, he changes horses in mid-stream and tells Mike that he will be put up. Mike didn't seem too displeased. After all, he wanted the world to see the stuff he was made of, and that he would be admired for it. Frankly, I thought he was a dumb ass and so did Daddy Dick.

As It Turned Out
America's Player, Eric, was given the directive to vote out Kail, but he was only one out of two people, who voted her out, all the rest of the votes went to Mike.

The HGs complained that Mike was "hard to read," "didn't talk much" and really didn't let them know who he was. It's okay to fly under the radar, but to be distant and quiet makes your fellow players suspicious. While this may be part of Mike's personality, it didn't serve him well. He certainly made a point several times that he was out to show people how he stuck to his moral code and frankly, that made him a lousy player.

The thing that sticks out in my mind is that when "Moral Mike" was confronted by Kail about not voting her way when she asked her group to to evict Dick the week before, he claims to Kail that he thought he had told her that everyone was voting for Joe and it's so obvious that he really didn't take the trouble to do so. Kail is not my favorite person in the House, but she was genuinely puzzled since she was the only one that gave Dick a vote.

My conclusion: Mike is honest and loyal and ethical only in his own mind. That's it. Case closed.

The Early Show
Friday morning on CBS' Early Show, Mike was interviewed by Julie. She asked him if he had any regrets about his behavior during the HoH competition and he answered that he didn't.

There was a discussion about Mike working out in the backyard earlier in the week with Nick while Dustin and Zach were calling the two musclemen Cragnus and Magnus that was a bit distracting but nonetheless quite funny. He said it didn't bother him, but I really think that one of Mike's missing genes is the humor gene.

According to Ms. Chen, Zach was not well liked in the House and Mike said that may have been due to the fact that all Zach ever wanted to talk about was strategy. That made him an outcast. He was just trying too hard.

I never noticed that. What was I missing? It was Mike that people talked about being too distant and quiet and not letting them in.

According to Mike, Kail's coalition with the three men fell apart quickly, especially after Dick became HoH. That's not what is supposed to happen when you're in a strong alliance, is it? In fact, that's when an alliance becomes stronger. He swears that as the votes were changing he kept her abreast of those changes but he told her to keep the same vote because she had been campaigning against Dick. What the hell does that mean? If she bought that she's even dumber than he is. They're not fit to be players in this highly competitive game.

Obviously, it must not have been a strong alliance in the first place because during the previous eviction, everyone voted Joe out except Kail. She even said, "What happened to the Alliance?" as Mike was assuring her that he was on her side. I find it difficult to believe him. His credibility is zero as far as I'm concerned.

Upon being questioned about Nick's relationship with Danielle, Mike claimed that initially Nick told a few people that he was "playing" Danielle and that he would vote her out if the group thought that he should. I don't believe that one either. That reeks more strongly than one of Dick's gross farts.

How Did America's Player Behave?
All evicted players get apprised of the fact that Eric is there to do the Will of the People. Did Mike notice that? He claims that he did and tells Julie that on Eviction Night, Eric was pacing a lot.

In certain ways, I don't like the idea of Eric, the Stooge. Personally, I dislike his manner and if this is the guy that's supposed to make "America" feel or believe that he is doing their bidding, then the producers got it wrong. He's just too much of a smart aleck for me.

The last segment of the Early Show was as boring as the rest: Mike missed his family a lot. Upon being set free from the House he called his parents and sister and they claimed to be proud of him. They were happy to hear from him because it's been a while. Does that mean that Mike hadn't talked to them before he left for the BB House? I mean, it's only been a few weeks.

Back in the House
Dick's term as HoH was over and the competition for the title took place. Ultimately Dustin won and after performing several victory dances and jumps he settled down into his new role.

It will be interesting to watch how he handles his time as Head of Household. He's a lot less volatile than Dick and I think he's tough too. Especially with that backstabbing ex of his gone from the House.

Stay tuned for the next show. Sunday evening on CBS at 8:00 PM.
